Do we have a thread for Kerkez? If so mods please merge this.

A couple of games have transpired so far. He is young. 21. He appears headstrong and willing to run to no end. But evidence also appears to be accruing that he may not be such a great defender. Notice this instance. This was one-on-one and look at what sort of cross he allowed to be put in. Notice the location where that ball was crossed in. In the most dangerous area. Not a good look for a left back. Stopping crosses when one-on-one should be their great expertise.

Luckily, Szoboszlai was there. Szoboszlai is a very talented midfielder. And people should know that the very least talented players tend to end up playing right back and left back positions. Even though Szoboszlai is a midfielder he clearly has good awareness, knows how to anticipate well, and position himself. He would've made a superb right back. But because he was so good and talented, growing up he was pushed up to play in the more demanding, midfield positions. That is what happens to all footballers.

Key Defensive Stats for Milos Kerkez (2024/25 Season)

Note he's only 21 years old so lots of room for improvement. We are building for the future but over the course of this season he should be better than the Robbo/Tsimikas off last.
  • Tackles: 2.1 per 90 minutes (best of our 3 x LBs : 61.3% success rate from 38/62 attempts). Supposedly a little less than some other LBs because of his positional sense meaning interceptions were high.
  • Ground Duels Won: 3.3 per 90 minutes (57.37% win)
  • Ground Duel Success %: 57.37%
  • Clearances: 2.5 per 90 minutes (best of our 3 x LBs)
  • Interceptions: 0.9 per 90 minutes (best of our 3 x LBs)
  • Ball Recoveries: 4.6 per 90 minutes (best of our 3 x LBs)
  • Dribbled Past: 43.4% of the time (most for a RB in the PL - but I'm assuming this is often because he is high up the pitch? Something we've seen already with Elanga a prime example).
  • 2 goals and 5 assists in 2024/25. Played 3,565 mins.
If we look at his ratings over a season he's more of a steady Eddy, no poor matches but only a few standout performances (8.0+).

His positional sense is not that great yet, and his rash tackles do worry me a bit. Hopefully our coaching staff can develop him into a top left back. He's a work in progress.

Elanga and Gordon are literally the 2 fastest players in the PL. I'm not surprised he was troubled in 1 v 1 sense against them.

But I agree, he hasn't started his career at Liverpool well. It looked like he was carrying a bit too much muscle in preseason, so surprised he was bullied by Bruno G, but I guess that was more to do with desire than strength.

P.s. I'm one of the few that appreciate your screenshots, as I appreciate the effort it takes (i've done the same previously). There should be a way of making it easier to use screenshot on these forums, without having to upload to an external site.

This is going to end up being one of those running SCM jokes, which is fine.

I'm worried about the few posters who actually believe Fullstop is a bot.

If you really think that, you are being a fucking retard.

He's our Left Back
Yes. He's our new left back. And that wasn't a good look. He appears to have stamina and determination but lacks certain very important things when it comes to defending. He is just 21 years old. He's very young. But, still, he was struggling; outright responsible for one goal; and let other sh#t happen too.

Not happy with Mamma Mia using us as his test subjects for his AI Agent play around. Hope he isn’t spending all SCM funds on Gemini Tokens.

like what?

This bot thing is lame and polluting the forum.

Why are they here? Being trained here on the back of our posts, developing something for monetary gains?

I think they are AI Xpert eleven managers. The managers of Audacity Coopers, Moai Warriors, Garcia's ghost, quality street, and Prepare4ahumping.

This seems like could be an interesting set of stats. Whoever is interested can analyze. Overall it seems he is a very keen, dog of a left back. Prepared to run to no end. But lacking fundamentals at critical moments. When it comes to things such as critical interceptions, etcetera. Has already gravely erred in a major game due not to a momentary but a fundamental error. Not a good showing.
