Players must want to play for us. Thats a great starting point. If they don't then BR must be able to sell the club to them. In recent years that hasn't been enough and we need to change that around. After all we are Liverpool!

I'm not so sure about your quoted criterion about players having problems then solving them. Where did you get that from and who are these players?

I don't have links to hand, but the various criteria they've successfully used in sport management before now were pretty well publicised (on here and elsewhere) around the time they bought the club, and this was defo one of them. As far as "who are these players" goes: Suarez for one.

Ok JJ, I thought Suarez was brought in to partner Torres then it all went pear shaped but I'll take your word for it.

He might well have been, Roland. The point is that one of the criteria they'll have considered when deciding whom to buy in the first place will have been that one. It's certainly not the only thing they look at, but it's on the list.

I think any young player with ambition and a little substance upstairs can see the difference between the two clubs' attitudes towards young players. Which club has Sterling and Coutinho moulded into the players they are and which club doesn't.

Exactly, and how much playing time can a young player get when Chelsea sign everyone under The Lying Rag.

I'm already liking the lad alot after reading this:

"O Jogo say that Chelsea had the option to sign Markovic for €15m, rather than Liverpool's €25m, but turned them down because he preferred a move to Anfield. They claim that Chelsea have made an attempt to exercise their option but Markovic rejected it because he didn't feel that Jose Mourinho would use him enough.
Markovic has himself confirmed about previously being invited to Chelsea for a tour and to have dinner with several of the first team squad. The London club were expected to sign him next summer but Liverpool's move forced the issue and Markovic had to make a decision."

As my son would say "I likey this one."

Hahaha fucking hell.

No wonder we couldn't woo Alexis Sanchez. We were probably speaking to him in Eskimo.

Well, apparantly we had one who spoke Portuguese but Markovic cant speak Portuguese after living there for a year, so we had to get a Serbian one.. Hence the delay if true obvs..

Sounds like bollocks to me. Pick up the phone to any interpreter agency and they'll have a Serb on the way to you in minutes. Manchester must have a few.

So how do we plan to speak to him during training if he doesn't speak any other language but Serbian?
