What I do not understand is how Konate can even think of playing for RM knowing he will have to run around like a dog to cover Trent yet again, it will shorten his career and probably means for the most part he will be on the treatment table. Also I would love to chuck him out, but the way I see it - Madrid are so desperate for a defender that i would love it if they ended up getting no one and being torn apart in next years CL - which I think will happen if they don't sign someone like Konate. That will be a bonus for me.

Why wouldn’t he, if he’s guaranteed game time, paid a lot more than he currently is and a strong possibility that he’ll replace Isak down the track.

It’s not as if he’d be starting every game if we signed him, so by that logic, why would he sign for us?

I posted this last month. Every season I have bemoaned the club not signing a player in certain position. Last season I only asked for 3 players contract to be renewed and then changing my mind and then only wanting Salah and VVDs contract to be renewed. This season I have applauded FSG and Hughes
