Liverpool related transfer speculation

Hahaha, let's see. Little doubt he's a decent player and technically good enough to make it work but the risk of him getting home sick is high and he's yet another player at Arsenal that has zero experience of winning. It goes without saying need a striker, but I would have thought they needed more of an enforcer type DM to supplement Rice and Odegaard. Let's see how it goes. There's still time for the famous Basque pivot back to the mountains.

I don't believe our recruiters are that shallow. They'll have had better reasons than that for targeting him, whether or not we know what those reasons were.

On the assumption we are not able to renew Diaz's contract, Rodrygo has been touted as the replacement. I was thinking why not Ait-Nouri? Will have 1 year left on his contract, so should come cheap, and would not mind being a squad option. He has goals and Assists already and higher up the pitch he would get better numbers

I think we'll sign 2 full backs and 2 forwards this summer, and that's it. Kerkez will be the LB obvs, not sure who the RB will be. I'm convinced we'll make a play for Alvarez and players will be used at makeweights. The other forward will be someone who plays anywhere along the line, like Simons.

I think so too + a CB (prob. Huijsen/Hato) as I don't think Konate's extending

If Konate is not extending then we need 2 CB's then don't we ? one to replace him and one to be the one we want to get this summer.

You know we’ll probably let Konate go on a free next season than sell, unless someone offers big money, don’t you?

I am thinking exactly the same, if there is anything FSG like to do is keep a player on cheap wages and let him go when his contract is over on a free - especially when the player cost them only 35M and has given like over 4 years of service. I think they are more than happy to do that, and to be honest - I have become used to players been let go on a free at this club.

The Michael Edwards way.
Yep - and it probably makes sense - the guys is a fucking genius in my book and as long as he is handling transfers and not the manager - I am more than happy. Follow the data, not the emotions or like Klopp "Wow - he played so well against us - he cannot possibly be shit.."

It's not genius keeping Konate who basically everyone in Europe is willing to buy for at least £70 mill when you can buy Huijsen for £50 mill to replace him.

Well, to be fair, if he plays well and contributes to winning another Premier League or a Champions League next year, rather than risk a drop off after a complete defensive rebuild and winning nothing, then I can live with that.
