If we sell Cheesy and Nunez for cash + Osimhen then come Afcon, Dom and Jota will have to step. At the back not sure if Konate stays or goes the same with Quansah. Jo looked like he was saying goodbye at the end of the last game. I hope we have a solution for the CB. I don't have a name to recommend thats at the same class as Konate that won't cost £100m

Many pro Diaz staying comments are partially due to Diaz being on a small pay package. But everything changes if he is to get a new contract? I think he would be asking for somewhere close to 150-180k and 5 years at a minimum? That's a first teamer's pay. Say we managed to replace Nunez with Ekitike or Isak, where will Diaz play?
In rotation with Gakpo much like this season. He is 28 so you would sell if the offer was to good to refuse, so far there is no offer
i land on the side of keeping him, there’s a little too much churn in the squad for my liking. certainly konate needs to stay and diaz unless huge money comes.

I am ok to keep him and let him go on a free in 2 years. I don't think anyone is going to pay 70m for him this season and I don't think we should pay big wages to retain him. I also don't think the Saudis are necessarily big spenders anymore, especially not on players other clubs who over pay want to get rid. United has a bunch of them with no takers.

I don’t think Quansah is going anywhere…Gomez though, he represents about 0.25 of a CB to us given his injury record and probably wants a move to resurrect his career…so yes, I can see him going,.

Collins is a very good defender.
Seeing that we gave Brentford a discount for him, I am guessing we get a discount back. I can't imagine a price lower than £60m for him as they paid £25m only recently for him
The good will on Kelleher was probably to compensate for SvDB and Fabio.
If we get 30m we should sell ASAP for player who plays 20% of a season max. For 30m, I would expect we can get a squaddie replacement with Edwards and Hughes.

Yep there's an abundance of versatile homegrown defenders on the same level as Joe G. For 30 mill we can probably pick up two.

There are some Liverpool links to him. He is the son of David Collins who was on our books from 88-92 however never made a first team appearance. His cousin Mikey Collins also used to be a youth player for us.
At his best, no... but at the level we get on average, sadly yes. Shame injuries have really hampered his career.
If we can get a good fee then yeah, now is probably the time to say goodbye.
Gonna end up having to totally rebuild the defence at this rate.
