Liverpool vs City : pre game

I have a bad feeling about the City game. That gnawing in the pit of my stomach when a big match is coming, and made only worse by the queue of pundits saying we're going to beat City. Even Merson says we're going to walk all over them. On the plus side the bad feeling usually prefigures a win and the fact is that even muppets like Merson can see we're actually a bloody good side. It has been a long time though (despite our excellent record against City) since we have gone into this fixture as such favourites.

Give us your thoughts, line-ups and predictions.

This is gonna be an odd one for me to watch, we've been invited to Bex dad's for nye, for 5pm. There'll be almost entirely Bluenoses there, & they don't have sky so I'm taking a kodi box which I'll set up in the front room to watch it.

At most there'll be just two reds, including me, & more than ten bitters, watching this match. If we get beat I'm gonna be seriously pissed off.

I'm in scottyland and the old firm derby is on at 12, so every pub is going to be like a saloon in the wild west by the time we come on. I've got a mate lives about a ten minute drive away, might go watch it in his.

I have no idea how this game will go. could easy be 5-2 to either side.

I am stuck in a weird party up in the Mountains, invited by People who couldn't care less about football. However, before accepting the invitation I told them the rules. Game is on 18.30 here and we can eat after that.... Kings speach at 19.30 will be recorded.

They're definitely gonna score, so it's all about how well our front three perform on the day for me

Even weirder for me .... it starts at 01.30 in the morning here, can you even imagine that.

Whoever the FUCK scheduled this damn match must have been way way too high at the time. Woland, was that you ?

Will be watching this as the only Liverpool fan at a party with mostly Utd fans. If we get beat it will probably turn out to be one of the shittiest new years eves in forever.

We have to win.

Yeah, but imagine the Utd fans. Anything other than a draw full of injuries will be a bad result for them, it's not like they'll all be willing city to win.

Just spoke to the other red I thought was going & he's going the match instead, so it's just me. Ah well.

True, but I think they'd rather see City win given the Liverpool hatred.

Is that a positive or negative ? I've not been overly impressed so far with Sane and maybe they'll end up with Sterling-Silva-De Bruyne-Aguero-YaYa as their front five instead. Much more dangerous.

Very positive, I think – he has been playing much better lately and I think Milner and co. would have struggled with his pace (whether he started or came on as a sub). Now the only really fast player in that front 5 is Sterling.

Hopefully he'll be substituted off early and everyone hears him being called a puta hijo de puta for his performance.

Yeah, loads of talk about us being favourites etc and will win tomorrow. Doesnt work like that with us.

4.30am kick off - I expect the pub to be like a scene from The Walking Dead at that time of the morning.
