The BBC actually have a nice breakdown on their recent CFc vs LFC analysis. If any Mod wants to convert this into a new thread please do so.
BTW Hassekbaink had lots of love for Wirtz : "he's a brilliant, brilliant, player that will come good, he just needs time".
Fast Breaks Against - self explanatory and Arsenal by far the worst (though obviously it doesn't show the xG for each breakaway so these could be low value breaks?
This next one means support for a player breaking (so the man in possession plus two or more). We are miles ahead here - no surprise when we have the highest possession stats in the PL.
This means too many players forward to the detriment of the defence - notice how we are not THAT high and in fact City are far worse. I thought we'd be much worse as it seems we often give the ball away for a fast break against us - seems not too bad however.
Finally I'd say for all these stats - we don't look that bad ! So, at least defensively (though also attack-wise we are up at the top for goals and chances) for me the issue isn't tactics it's just that some players are playing FAR below their standards (Konate, Salah, Gakpo and Macca) which the rest pf the tram can't compensate for.
If we can get those players back to even just their average we'll see a massive improvement in both the standard of play and results whilst also helping the new players to adjust and integrate.
Some other interesting stats from the PL(after 6 games) and these need to be balanced against the quality of the teams played so could easily be high/low for that reason:
