Mo Salah 2025/26 Season

I think Carragher made a valid point in an overemotional way and now this circlejerk is going around.

His point was that all of Salah´s success, as a player, was achieved here, and for Salah, it´s all about what he´s owed, rather than what he is grateful for.

He made the same point multiple times on different channels and platforms, now as expected people are reacting it especially the stupid bits of it. It’s fair game if you are going to put yourself out there. He knew what he was doing to and earnt money on that whole emotional reactionary thing.

I dont hold Carra in very high esteem. He was always a hypocritical holier than thou kind of attitude guy even when he was playing. Many said Carra deserved to be Captain more than Stevie, and I was never convinced. How they have both carried themselves after has only convinced me further.

Many said Carra would have been a great coach. I think he would have been an absolutely terrible coach worse than Roy Keane - because he has zero EQ.

Mikel is one of these average players who was lucky enough to play for a side that won things. The fact he won leagues and a Champions League with Chelsea doesn't make him a great player who can lord it over those who never had the blind luck he did. Original Ronaldo never won the Champions League. Does that mean he can't speak about that subject? Djimi Traore and Igor Biscan did... Does that mean they can tell the likes of Ronaldo where to go if the subject of Champions League football comes up?

Mikel was a painfully average footballer and an even worse podcaster/pundit whenever I've heard him speak. Carragher was a much better Premier League defender than he was a midfielder. He needs to keep his mouth shut and thank his lucky stars that he had the opportunity to be back up for the likes of Essien, Matic, Fabregas and Makelele.

Would he? On 250 goals? Doesn't sound right
It is correct, but in PL goals terms (Dreamy's wording was a little ambiguous but that was what I thought he meant). Some of the big scorers in PL history spread their goals over several clubs (e.g. Shearer had goals for Southampton and Blackburn as well, Rooney for Everton) and the key one-club men (Aguero, Henry) are behind Mo. Only Kane outscored him in the PL (he's the only player with over 200 PL goals for one club).

Current table:
Kane 213
Mo 188
Aguero 184
Rooney 183 (United)
Henry 175
Shearer 148 (Newcastle)
Vardy 145
Shearer 112 (Blackburn)
Le Tissier 100

All others less than 100.

Sorry, I took 'all time' as in all time and all competitions.

So Man United, Man City, Spurs, Everton, Wolves all ahead.

Any stats that only refer to the PL / Champions League are basically saying "in the modern era".
It's still impressive and he's done it in a relatively small amount of games and from the wing.
Whatever his current struggles and defensive deficiencies, he's been a goal-scoring phenomenon for us.

Rooney's numbers always surprise me, like I always thought he was a great all round player but don't recall him as such a prolific goalscorer
Never won the Golden Boot.
I think his thing was that he was usually 4 or 5 goals behind the top scorer so he still racked up a lot of goals across his career. He was never the most prolific scorer in any given season, but always did his bit.

Oh, for sure. He's been amazing for us. It's a real shame that (at least how it appears now) that he probably won't continue to be.
