Unpopular choice but I'd vote for Barrela

Incredible year for him.

3 goals 9 assists in 36 games for Inter as they won Serie A, pivotal pivotal player.

1 of Italy's star players at the Euro's as well.

But if I'm honest I see either Kante or KDB winning it this year.

Why? Neither did much. There was better players in their own teams.

I suppose Jorginho could win it, CL and Euros…Kante was Motm in CL final.

I’d like it to be Lewa but can’t see it.

This is probably the best Salah compilation I've watched, very thoughtfully assembled from different periods of his career, including his overlooked stint with Fiorentina. A few things pop out:
  1. He's fucking good.
  2. The difference between Salah and 99% of other wingers is that his mindset is always on creating a goal. Every movement and decision serves that purpose.
  3. The best way to defend against him is not to get too close, just try to slow him down and wait for the right moment to stick a leg in. Anyone trying to initiate physical contact too early with space behind them will be left for dead.
  4. Even with perfect defending now and again he is able to stab at the ball with no backlift and score with precisely placed, even if weak shots.
  5. Given how often he dribbles in the box, he should be winning more penalties.

I’d love to turn from doubter to believer ! 🙂 and believe Salah will get it…

Watching that is mesmerising.
He is so Messi like at times.
So many of his goals are simply because of his sheer brilliance.
What a player.

Where's Wijnaldum?

I've been told so often how great and important he is - surely he has to be on the list?

He probably is there but I just can't see him.

Hahahahaha
