2011 since his last Champions League final; he’s not elite - 2 titles out of 4, no European progress with the most expensive squad in football history. Since the spine of winners he inherited - Kompany, Fernandinho, Silva and Aguero have gone/declined, he’s been exposed, and his signings to replace them have been substandard. £400m+ on defenders and we’re still a shambles at the back at this level.
I hate him - but winning a league 1 every 2 years in England is elite.

Yeah, that's a good point. You need consistency to be a top keeper.
The funny thing is, the Lyon keeper was the one who was jittery all night. Unconvincing punches and catches, miscommunication with his defenders etc. But he made the saves when it mattered.
Now of course they have no chance against Bayern. It might not a blowout and Bayern do have some weaknesses at CB that Lyon will exploit – Alaba is not a CB and Boateng is as dead on his feet as Busquets – but overall Bayern's quality up front will be more than enough. And most importantly, Flick will not overthink it like Pep did.

Reading some of the posts on bluefume and i can't believe it. I think the tide has turned. For once the majority are putting another woeful exit firmly at the feet of fraudiola. No conspiracy theories or Uefa trying to fuck them (ok there's a few of those) but the majority are seething at Pep.
