They can't play like this weekly though

They'll be fucked by Christmas

Kagawa looked good for the scummers though. Cleverly, Carrick, Nani and Rooney looked shite however.

He gets better year after year, and I've wanted him since 4 years ago.

Best player outside the top 4 clubs by a country mile.

Course, one could argue Darren Bent would equal Rooney in goalscoring stakes if he played for United. So bent would be world class.

Surely world class in goalscoring stakes means you score against quality opposition continually, or you score bucket loads in a shit team

Rooney tends to go missing a lot in big games, and has trademark purple patches

Speaking of purple patches : defoe. He has them every season, plays for a top 5 side

World class.

Well your totally wrong about Rooney but you ain't wrong much so I'll let you off

I think he's exceptionally talented and the best English player at the minute. But not world class. Other strikers would get ahead of him in a world xi, and that's what I base it on. Ibra and cavani for 2.

World class is a phrase banded about a lot and it loses its meaning over time.

Suarez=world class.... No he's not... He has too many weaknesses

Same with Rooney. He doesn't turn up every week and put in a good performance. Tonight he was abysmal, and I've seen plenty of other games where he's been as useful as a shovel in a wig.

The British hyperbole is obscene with Rooney: inventor of the overhead. A very talented player, but not world class
