He's excellent. Although he 's been at a similar level for several years now without kicking on (besides inventing the overhead kick).
no i mean if he is surrounded by world class players and has consistently scored, is considered the best player and after ronaldo's departure stepped up, it all suggests that he is in fact world class? no?So it's dependent if you're surrounded by world class players you mean?

Barring injury, when he stops playing he will be more or less Utd's all time scorer, will have a massive bag full of medals, will probably be behind only Shearer in terms of Prem goals, will have 100 England caps and probably 40-odd goals behind only Lineker and Charlton.
Not bad for hot and cold.
Surprisingly a lot of United fans have also come to this realisation. Many season ticket holder at OT tell me than they can tell in the first 2 or 3 minutes of games whether or not Rooney is "on his game". Apparently he's far more of a confidence player than I originally thought and when he goes a couple of games without scoring he "disappears" from subsequent games.Rooney blows hot and cold. When he's good, he's really, really good but when he's shit, he's really, really shit.
Obviously he's on his game more often than not - no doubt the cunt's world class on his day but he still puts in his fair share of shockers during a season.
I always think the idea of Wayne Rooney is better than Wayne Rooney. On his day, yes his can be unplayable. But those days are too infrequent. Look at Messi. Every game he scores, sometimes more than one, or assists with genius. Influences a game from all over the pitch. That is what Rooney should be aiming for.
Ha, my mind still includes us in the top 4 without stopping to think.Better than Suarez?
No way does Ibra get anywhere near Rooney - that comparison is crazy.
I said Ibra was better, and he is.I don't see where the comparison was made but if you give me Zlatan or Rooney to build a team around, I'd take Zlatan every time. He's a phenomenal player, who's finally started to perform in big games over the last 3-4 years. He scores 20+ goals every year, assists on plenty, can drop back and is a winner no matter where he goes.

10 years of bring a Don at some of the biggest clubs in world football
Rooney has done it United.
ExactlyI agree ... he's as dominant as they come at the club game - and to do it at Ajax, Barca, Milan, Juve, Inter and soon PSG is a phenomenal track record.
Oh, Kagawa looked very good too I thought.
Two good feet, sliderule passing, can play in tight spots. He's the perfect number 10. They've got a player there.
