Barton hasn't been sent off too often this season and we miss that hardman edge that will rattle the opposition.

Barton is actually a good footballer albeit a nasty one.

LIVERPOOL boss Kenny Dalglish is poised to bring experienced and under-rated striker Robbie Keane back to Anfield

Colleagues of Damian Commoli were seen discussing and impressed by the veteran strikers movement and statistics against Chelsea last weekend, hoping that Keane will provide experienced, goalscoring back-up to Carroll and Suarez.

Keane is believed to be eager to make right his time under Rafael Benitez, by getting his final chance to play at the highest levels in the Premiership.

Keane, 30, has emerged as one of the most underrated properties after two underpar seasons in English football and has been likened to a Teddy Sherringham , Michael Owen type signing for the reds, with his experience scoring goals, certain to benefit Liverpool's youth.

The signing may inflame Liverpool fans, especially Irish accountants who started Fan message boards, given his performances under Benitez, and his past history having a pint three days before Ireland games
[/quote]

Cue Rosco's head exploding.

"@BelgoFoot: Steven Defour signs new 5-year contract with Standard Liege. #mufc #lfc"

Nuri Sahin: TalkSPORT understands that Dortmund have lined up a replacement for the talented playmaker, who has been watched by Premier League scouts numerous times this season.

Nuremberg midfielder Ilkay Gundogan is on the verge of moving to Dortmund and sources at the club claim he's going there to replace Sahin.

Germany Under-21 international Gundogan, 20, is set for a £4m move to Dortmund this summer and that has plunged Sahin's future into doubt.

Turkey international Sahin, 22, is coveted by most of Europe and Chelsea have monitored him in the past, although Kenny Dalglish is eager to overhaul his squad this summer and has also targeted him.

Liverpool are also interested in a £5m move for Newcastle midfielder Joey Barton, with Reds manager Kenny Dalglish keen to reunite him with former Magpies team-mate Andy Carroll.

Standard Liege midfielder Axel Witsel is being courted by Liverpool and AC Milan, who both hope to sign the 22-year-old this summer.

Kenny and Comolli was at the Lyon - Montpellier game?

Who do you think they were scouting?

there's no denying joey barton is a pretty decent footballer when he wants to be, but i cant stand him, and i dont think id stop hating him even if he did sign for us, although i doubt he will. if kennys going for the 'united boot room' kinda atmosphere i think joey would be a step backwards. although we should get in kevin nolan, purely so him n andy can cause havoc around town, and hopefully get an 'odd couple' style tv show at some point.

Fuck all wrong with Joey Barton as of late. He's not acted the tit off the pitch, told Torres to "suck me fuckin cock" on the pitch and been quite funny with his interviews. He'd be an alright squad player at the mo unless that wierd Kenny Effect does anything for his cockles like it does for everyone else.

its just things like when he punched that fella in the chest on the pitch, forget who it was now. dont mind players having a little bit of a dive now and then tbh but thats just another level of twattishness. we could deffinatley use his crosses into the box mind, and i suppose he is much less of a bellend than he used to be

He punched Pederson, who has his own personal bollocks blog here http://www.gamst.co.uk in which you can look at him being a twat everyday, in the gutty wuts. An he deserved it cos he's a blert an was trying to act SOLID. Altho Joey and his sparking of that lad on church street by the maccies was bang on, I'd have him like, he's grown up in a way and he can play. He's got bite like. Bite bite bite, fight fight fight.

8 assists to Carroll alone this season is some pretty impressive shit though. If I was one to be impressed by stats, and I owned Andy Carroll, then....

Nah. I did see him once on dale street in a nice suit after being in court.

The only other connection to Barton i've got is from going out with a bird from Huyton who was and still is a bad tit. An Bleasdale is from Huyton and he's a bad tit an all. Everyone from Huyton is a bad tit but boss at uppercuts.
