Nope. We need better. I think people are protecting themselves from the disappointment of being linked with Downing by convinincing themselves he's really good. When he's not. He's OK no more,

Can't say I've watched much of Dann to form an opinion. Enrique looks solid enough but not spectacular.

From what I've seen of Enrique, he's an excellent footballer. He has very good attacking instincts, a tidy left boot, and defends pretty solidly. Not 100% consistent, but that's difficult to judge in a side like Newcastle who could be excellent one week and poor the next. I think a few on here would be pleasantly surprised by him.

Highly-rated defender Neven Subotic has revealed he dreams of a future move to the Premier League, but believes he will stay at Borussia Dortmund this summer.

The Serbia international has been linked with a number of clubs in the English top flight, including Arsenal and Chelsea, after helping Dortmund to the Bundesliga title and UEFA Champions League qualification this season.

Subotic admits he would like to follow in the footsteps of fellow Serbians Nemanja Vidic and Branislav Ivanovic and make the switch to England at some point in the future.

But the 22-year-old expects to stay in Germany with Dortmund next season as the champions embark on a European adventure.

Both are decent, both will provide fuck all by way of moving us from 6th to 1st.

It's just clogging the squad with more "decent options" as opposed to actual top class quality.

If memory serves you knew fuck all (by your own admission) about Enrique a little while back. Have you been studying him since?

I'm a bit more impressed by Enrique than Ryan. He looks to have improved a fair bit from the few games I've seen him in.

Solid defensively and very good with the ball at his feet. Big, strong, pacy with a very good cross on him. For the reported 10m or so I'd say he's very good value.
