Nobody gave a shit about him when he was here. Now everyone's all "Aww YNWA Sammy, true club lege...".

Pfft.

Not sure about that. You don't often hear the praises sung for an assistant manager, especially when he is number 2 to Kenny Dalglish.

And anyone who truly understands the club and what it means to represent it will always have a place in their hearts for a guy who has given so much to the cause.

Hmmm. Not sure. There has been quite a lot of raving about Clarke since he arrived

Look everyone knows Sammy was brought in as a link to the old Liverpool, the boot room, the glory days etc for the benefit and PR of the old regime. He was and always will be a good fitness coach, and was Assistant Manager in name only , particularly with Rafa, as he would not have listened to anyone anyway , which is why Paco got fed up and left.

There really is no need for people to start having a pop at him and make snide underhand remarks, he is a very very decent bloke, a fan and a great servant of the club lets just wish him well and leave it at that.

regards

Well said.

It's also worth mentioning that Sammy Lee was getting plenty of praise when we were competing for the league. As soon as we turn shit, he's just a man who puts on the cones.

A lot of this has been said in jest, I suspect, and surely everyone hopes he has a good career elsewhere.

Hearing that highly-rated MK Dons boss Karl Robinson being considered to fill Sammy Lee's role at Liverpool. Top man who's

Hmm i don't know about that mate, Sammy's had a long career with us as a player and coach.

I don't think people didn't not give a shit about him, maybe we didn't appreciate him but from his celebrations when we score and his interviews etc, it's clear to see he loves the Club and even for that reason alone, he deserved a bit of recognition and respect for what he's given to LFC when it was announced he would be leaving.

If appointed, I can't help but thnk FSG are laying foundations for future management if Karl Robinson is to fill in Sammy Lee's vacant spot. RObinson was the youngest coach to earn a UEFA Pro license and seems to be rated highly. I don't know how good he is with stats or if he regularly dons a V neck though...

Well said, Vlad and Squiggles.

It's always pissed me off when people have made the jabs at Sammy.

Kevin Keen is quitting West Ham – and is set for a shock move to become part of Kenny Dalglish’s team at Liverpool.

Hammers’ loyalist Keen yesterday turned down a new deal to stay on Sam Allardyce’s staff and may move immediately to Anfield to join Dalglish.

Keen was the Hammers’ caretaker boss for the final Premier League game and made it clear he wanted the top job, but was then offered a lesser role.

A great player for this club who became a massive part of the coaching set-up. That's the way it should be. Loved Sammy's earnest efforts as a player and am sure he was a hardworking as a coach. Anyone slagging him off has to go through me first.
