Not when you look at their resources and those of the clubs above them. On the contrary, I doubt there are many (if any) clubs which have got more value for money per pound spent.

Disagree with all of that, I'm afraid. Coutinho's certainly a gem but we need options for every position. As for Schneiderlin himself, he'd have helped considerably by protecting our back four a fair bit better than Can, Milner or Henderson, all of whom are essentially attacking players. Unless our defence functions a heck of a lot better than it did last season, Rodgers is taking a real risk by neglecting that side of a good midfield set-up IMO.

Yeah, at Ajax. Van Gaal would sit watching training and give contradictory instructions to the players.Doesn't everybody? As far as these two specifically are concerned, weren't they both at the same club, with van Gaal as DOF and Koeman as coach, van Gaal told Koeman to do something and Koeman told him to go f'ck himself?
Man United’s pursuit of Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin hits the rocks after bid was rejected [Sky Sports]
Yesssssssssssssssss
I don't think he's all that. He's a good player but top level? I'm not sold. He makes a lot of mistakes
Dunno I think they're going to be competing for the same position slightly deeper than Hererra.Don't really think that comparison's valid TBH. They're different players who do different jobs. Carrick picks passes and keeps the game flowing. Schneiderlin is a more defensive player, who can play a bit but just as often wins it and gives it to someone more constructive. I rate him and reckon we could really do with him filling such a role for us, though it's not going to happen.
