Selliott

Ketwig is arse and you know it. If one has to be sold to accommodate Wirtz I’d just rather it was Jones and that the boy stayed. Bollocks intact.

Curtis is more valuable to us than Harvey atm.
He can at least handle the physicality and help us in defence.

We’ve just spent 116M on the German Elliot. What’s the point in keeping him to rot on the bench for another season?

We need squaddies alongside the stars, but only if the manager's prepared to use them. If Slot doesn't rate Harvey (even if some of us think he should) there's ultimately no point keeping him on.

Have to agree we need Jones more than Elliott. We're going to need players who can drop back and cover the fullbacks when they bomb on, as well as progressing the play from deep. He's also pretty adept at covering RB and can do a job at six against weak sides intent on sitting back.

Jones has flaws, but is can do that far more effectively than Elliott. He's not going to kick up a fuss for game-time either. He's a frustrating player but he's also one we're pretty fortunate to have, IMHO.

Cants disagree. Jones is a jack of all trades player which is invaluable in a smaller squad

No way we get a 50 mill buy back with a 40 mill fee.

Quansah was £35m with a £50m buyback, so it’s not far off the realms of impossibility.

I’d be looking at closer to £60m with no buy back.

The buyback will be more like £60-70m

That works too is the sell price is close to £50m rather than £40m.

Id be confident Hughes will get a good deal for us over the line - and there’s likely to be a reasonable amount of competition for him - so we’ve got some leverage.

Quansah was 30 mill £ with a buy back of 52 mill £ +.
The add ons can't be counted yet.

Elliott would be 40 mill with a buy back at 60 mill + I reckon. Still decent if he turns out ace.

Yeah, I’m not going to quibble of a few quid here and there - the original figure were stuff up by having half in £ and half in € - but £40m/£60m is fine.

Lets keep the wee fucker yeah. Hes a good player. Everyone cant be John Barnes. Someones got to be Craig Johnson
