I know but it's seems too obvious. Feels more like they'd go for a more established proven player. Someone like Eze for instance.

I know it’s heretical, but, I have a soft spot for them and the particular group of fans I know in Melbourne - certainly more-so than fans of other teams.
Out of the nominal “big 6”, they’re the team I dislike the least… actually, I could almost expand that out to the entire EPL if there weren’t so many vanilla teams that trigger no feelings whatsoever.
In a previous job, I dealt with lots of different supporter groups - Spurs were one of the best.

Yeah I use Swiftkey on my phone - OMG the words it comes up with I doubt even exist, they certainly are not the most likely candidates ! Once it came up with a remote Welsh village of about 15 letters, WTF!
Sometimes don't bother to go back and correct it just to see if my daughter can work out what I'm saying.

They won’t get rid of him. I said it at the time. Every club knows they want him out and has no future so they’ll only give the mancs pennies. It’s great to see.
The over-riding problem they have with Garnacho and indeed had with Rashford before is... he ain't very good really is he? He did score that one great bicycle kick mind you but.... he's shite... any other club may as well try out their own youth squad players in that position and keep the money.
Elliott on the other hand is pretty good and can do an actual job.
The Garnacho comparison is interesting to me. Garnacho has the right physical skillset - he's quick and has incredible stamina - but is not a great footballer.
Elliot, by contrast, is a terrific footballer but lacks pace and physicality.
You could probably blend them together and create one great player and another who you'd instantly release on a free (or sell to Brentford / the Saudi league). Kind of like a footballing version of Twins with Arnie and de Vito.
I used to have similar thoughts about Ryan Babel and Dirk Kuyt.
