In a word, yep.
How many times the other day did he come charging out either with or without the ball and lose the first tackle thereby turning over possession and leaving a massive gap to exploit. Hes our best DM, mainly because we have got zero competition, in much the same way Mignolet is our best keeper despite the fact hes not good enough. That doesnt make him a good DM, hes not helped by the fact that Gerrard actually makes his job more difficult
That's one game. Yes he was poor but the stats don't lie, we are less likely to lose with him starting.
Regarding the Burnley game, wasn't he somewhat involved in the build up to the goal?
Lucas strongest attribute is his positioning and his ability to break up play higher up the pitch. His timing was wrong a few times in the last game, but it's a one off. He is arguably our most intelligent midfielder. Who's better than him positionally? Gerrard? Allen? Henderson?
Lucas is the least of our problems, if you're looking for someone to pick on try looking at our captain who's pretty much doing fuck all atm, or our strikers and defenders.
Lucas is well Lucas...we are less likely to lose with him in the squad based on this season stats is neither here.
We concede less goals with Ming maning the post than with Jones. Sadly that is not proof that Ming is a good goal keeper.
Lucas has always been a average player who is also inconsistent....id sooner bin him for a better DM. It wont be that expensive to recruit in his position as well...

You've championed Joe Allen's cause enough times, 0 assist and 1 goal in 60 odd games and fairly indifferent form throughout.
As for Lucas, I've been a big critic but if you read my "Lucas" thread, there's enough balanced points in there as to why he should play at the moment at least. But then I'm not a child who has to stick by opinions just to prove some pathetic point. If I was, maybe I'd troll through every match thread dragging the same player down, taking more personal pleasure from a poor individual performance than that of the team.
I agree, I would not mind seeing Delph. I think at Liverpool he would contribute with more goals than the rest of the CM we have at the moment Although I would rather see a striker and a keeper come in.

We must be shipping a defender out for Vlaar, cutting our losses with Lovren ?
Delph is decent, but its a very meh signing.. again we are looking to sign squad players rather than a player that will improve the team..
