Carrying on today it seems:

Liverpool and Kenny Dalglish look set to miss out on a number of players in the next few days as Connor Wickham looks set to join Sunderland, and they are giving up in signing Jose Enrique and Gael Clichy as it seems Newcastle and Arsenal refuse to sell their players to a rival Premiership club.

It has been well documented that Liverpool need a left-back and their latest target is believed to be Manchester City defender Wayne Bridge. He fits the bill perfectly for Dalglish, he wants to buy British remember, and he should also be available at a decent price, believed to be in the region of £7million. VCBet have this morning priced Bridge at just 2/1 (3.0) to be a Liverpool player by the time the transfer windows closes. City need to get rid of the likes of Bridge to reduce their ever increasing wage bill, so the interest shown by Liverpool could pave the way for a move.

Another midfielder is also on the Dalglish wish list, after Adam and Downing. The player in question is Aaron Lennon of Tottenham who according to reports in the papers is desperate for a move back to the North of England. VCBet are offering just 6/4 (2.50) on Lennon leaving Tottenham this summer and signing for Liverpool, a move that would give Harry Redknapp much needed funds to secure the futures of Gareth Bale and Luka Modric, but again it all depends on whether Redknapp will want to sell one of his better players to a rival club.

Does he fuck. We need a strong, defensively sound, quick and mobile left back. Not a slow, injury prone ageing calamity like Wayne Bridge.

10 years ago he was tops. broke through at Southampton and was quality. Got his big move to Chelsea and played well for the first season, then he became injury prone, lazy, slow, and generally shite.

Basically, do not want.

That reads like it's been written by a 12 year old blogger.

Yup,That's terribly written. Where's it from?

The number of British players were being linked with is crazy. Kenny got no love for the rest of Europe?

English transfers are boring too, especially when they are aren't great players, if bridge played for Seville and was Bolivian, it would be far more interesting.

Lennon, dann, bridge, downing, Adam, swp.

We've already got gerrard, carra, Kelly, Robinson, carroll, shelvey, spearing in the melting pot/ first team

Wayne Bridge gains the honour of the SCM "sticky biscuit" award.

but did we want clichy? Some of these journalists are taking our enquiries to mean we 100% wanted the player. Perhaps we wanted to know how much he'd cost, or if his wages would be extortionate

Besides, haven't city already got kolorov?

By all accounts Kolorov is decent going forward, but rubbish at the back.

So perhaps they've decided to just go all out on that count with Clichy.

Im not saying we wanted Clichy. It just means more likely that Bridge will be on the move

Haha, yeh. Sometimes I think City just buy for buyings sake

See I'd have been confident Clarke could've gotten Clichy defending well, cos he made Johnson turn from a hapless joke constantly out of position when I saw him in November, to a solid LB & RB with a talent to push forward when he had the space & chance to.

Liverpool are lining up an audacious £27 million bid for Manchester City duo Wayne Bridge and James Milner. (Caught Offside) From the Telegraph on 30 June morning news paper.

🙁

lol @ milner

doing nothing for 2 years doesn't maintain value

[/quote]NO WAY is James Milner worth £26,999,995

john henry said we wouldn't approach players of a certain age, so you'd hope that rules out bridge. don't mind milner.
