I've often wondered what people reaction would be if we were to resign certain players which have left us over the past, I'll name a few, add others as you please!

Xabi Alonso: Complete and utter jubilation, if we ever resigned Xabi i'd be over the moon, no hard feelings as he left us in quite a dignified way.
Javier Mascherano: I'd be happy he was back in a playing sense, I really liked him as a player, however he was a complete cock when he left us, maybe he was forced, but still. I'd be torn on this.
Fernando Torres: Cautious optimism, if we got him for a smaller fee, say sub 20m, and Torres really pulled out all the stops I might be able to forgive him, purely on the fact he'd be so brilliant upfront with Suarez, and even Carroll I think. However this would be a really hard one.
Michael Owen: Complete and utter fucking despair.
Álvaro Arbeloa:I'd be happy, another class act when leaving. Would have to come in under the assumption of being a squaddie though.

There is even a scenario where I would take Owen. Granted, its a really strict criteria for that one - free transfer and wages totally dependant on appearances and goals - but would still take him as back up.
