Great thread. It annoys me when the same people keep throwing up the same unrealistic names for us to sign. When is the last time we bought a genuine world class talent? I agree with a lot of your suggestions. Here's a few more who may do well given the chance or we should be scouting at least.

Dedé (Vasco de Gama)

I'd love kwadwo however

That was the only real bad patch in terms of goalscoring in his career. Brum over-achieved that year finishing 9th, a year after clinching promotion, and reached the FA Cup 6th round but this was accomplished mainly due to McLeish's defensive tactics, thus using Benitez as an Ecuadorian Toquero instead of utilising his talents which Santos Laguna and Club America have done the following couple of years. I doubt even Messi could finish in double figures in a team managed by McLeish. Birmingham then went on to be relegated the following season.

Jimmy Rodriguez. Left winger with FC Porto in the style of Ronaldo (the greasy one)
Apparently being tracked by Man U.
Should be in the £15m-£20m bracket

Hes big money him. Heard tons but don't think I've seen him.

I haven't heard him mentioned once on here Fabs.
He is going to be mega, probably for Man U and we will all hate him:(

great thread - sadly the reality of being linked with the likes of 'Bent and co makes it even more depressing...

I think sunny mentioned him once. But yeah he's not mentioned on here much. But I've heard hype. Tons of it.

Fuck knows where from though

Brilliant thread by Dmishra. Haven't heard of half the players mentioned but they all look great.

Cue Bent, Dempsey, Allen in the summer.

Well if Sunny mentioned him hopefully it is because we are actively scouting him

Anyone mention James mclean yet? He'd be a good option. Will be interesting to see if he does well in the euros

Great thread. I love the idea of Gourcuff plying his silky skills at Anfield, but that's Milan and Lyon, and arguably France, he's been quite underwhelming for now. Perhaps his mentality is a little too brittle to bear the weight of expectation for a big team? If he came at a reasonably low price and played to his standards at Bordeaux, he could be the creative spark we've been crying out for.

Really like the look of Alan Dzagoeuv. I've mentioned him a few times and he should be ready to leave Russia soon. Same for Douglas Costa. I'd love to attract Gustavo from Bayern for CM but he is probably unattainable.

Porto seem to have a knack of springboarding a plethora of talent on to better things. We should be casting a eye on their talent before the euro's kick off.

Yakubu is about as value for money as you can get.

You need to think about the supplementary costs though Ken.
He'd decimate the canteen
On the plus side he'd barely wear in his boots due to lack of movement

He also could fake documents for people using his connections. Yakubu has been 29 for 15 years.

Get Ramirez to qualify for scottish parentage or something and he's only 18 years old.

Just because we spunked away £20m on Downing, possible spunked away another £16m on Henderson and overpaid (by about £15m) on Carroll should not mean we shy away from signing British talent. The talent is there we just need to make sure we have the right people choosing who we sign.

Exactly pesam, I completely agree. Talent is everywhere.

Sadly though I have no faith in the men who buy our players

Luciano Narsingh has equalled Gullitt's assist record of 22 in the Eredevise . Linked to Fulham

Narsingh,

23, both travelled to London on Monday to tour Fulham's

training facilities and ground.

They were accompanied by their agent Mino Raiola who began talks with the club over personal terms, as Fulham look to strike a double deal.
Heerenveen confirmed they gave both players permission to travel to England.
"We have given Mino Raiola and the players the space to talk," Heerenveen technical director Johan Hansma told De Telegraaf.
"Narsingh and Assaidi had to have a good feeling with a club. It doesn't make any sense if we reach an agreement with a club and the players won't want to go there. To succeed in a transfer there are three sides needed."
Narsingh, who has been named in Holland's preliminary squad for Euro 2012, and Assaidi - a Moroccan international - both have one year left on their current deals at the Abe Lenstra.
Ajax

and PSV Eindhoven

are also very keen on Narsingh and are also due to hold talks this week.

Anyone a fan of James Milner? He's out of favour at City and i cant imagine he'll want to be a benchwarmer again next season.

He'd add energy and skill to our midfield, can play 2 or 3 positions as well.

No. He won't be cheap and i don't overly see what he offfers tbh. Hes stagnated since villa

James Milner has been playing in the premier league since it's foundation in 1992 and he's still only in his mid-20s.
