My garden looks decent compared to a few days ago. I have a number of things round the house to do whilst this shit storm blows over. I’ve also got a huge list of films to get through.

I’ve realised how empty my life is without footy.

Herd mentality only works with some form of vaccination in place..

Coronvirus will simply die off in weather climates above 26/27 °c. So warmer climate around the world with the right planning will see a drop in cases..
.

Not so sure that is true... How warm is Iraq (36), Iran (3,513), Israel (15), Qatar (8), UAE(27), Kuwait(58), Brazil(7)and Turkey right now..? And some African countries have reported their first cases Nigeria, Morocco, Cameroon

Turkey has reported no cases of Corvid 19 , while some of the colder less traveled countries like Bosnia and Herzegovina (2) Hungary (2) and Estonia (4) claim to hve very few cases

Ditto.. the garage has been cleared out, did a couple of tip runs just in case they close. Next week.. rearrange the garage.

Oh and bought some garden tools too.

You and Nomad can stage the Everton game then... I'll pay the enterance fee

This is from one of the most Manc biased journos around, writing for MEN.
The replies are hilarious.

Mancs can surprise you sometimes. A mate of mine who's more or less a lifelong Manc (his dad had a trial for them) has said to me - albeit through gritted teeth - that it would be unfair if the season were scrapped without Liverpool being awarded the title.

If they go ahead with games behind closed doors, & refuse to let pubs screen them (or pubs are all closed) & the game where we could win it/lift the trophy is streamed, I'll see if I can get Bex to take the kids out, & anyone who wants to come round to ours can do. Not quite a pub, but I've got a 100" screen & a huge fridge for beer, & watching it with a group has gotta be the next best thing

Personally, I would be happy if they gave us the league and ended all football early till this summer. It would mean we would still be reigning European champions.

Are you really arsed about that? Couldn't give a shit me (being reigning European Champions)

Liverpool Man City game being mooted to decide the title.. prior to season being cancelled

Win.. its ours..
Lose.. They 'retain' it..

If that game happened, I trust we'd start with a 25 goal advantage, just to make it fair

I reckon they'll resume behind closed doors and as long as we get those two wins to avoid the asterisk I am not overly bothered. Get it sorted and get on with it.

There is simply no way mass gatherings in stadiums will be allowed to happen for 4-6 months from this point.

There isnt any point in guessing when we can have people in the stands again, cause nobody knows.
It could be in May, June or August.
At this point its anyones guess.

Yeah it seems very unlikely the season will get finished in any kind of normal way. Hell, next season will probably start behind closed doors too

But tbh I'm increasingly convinced this season won't get finished at all. So I'm left praying they don't void the fucking thing.

They won’t void the season. A nullified season means no prize money and bang there goes £100 million from clubs income. No club can come back from that and realistically survive.

If they do pay prize money how is that worked out? You’d have to give teams placings (effectively a final position) or spread it equally. The big teams won’t vote for the latter.

Most likely the teams will play games behind closed doors. The TV companies need the games, and the club's need the money.

No one is mooting that

I think by "mooted" he might mean "totally made up in his head" or possibly read it as a joke on social media, and thought it was real.

Everyone remembers the episodes with Alisson using an aging app that Ninja swore was actually his read Dad "who looks just like him"

Or the Pornhub drug/ sex clip with another lookalike, which SURPRISE! SURPRISE!, Ninj also swore was real after discussing it depth with his Man Utd supporting friend.

Logical solution..

With World cup in Qatar in November December 2022

Postpone Euros till December

Restart season in August/September Allow to finish season in October/November

Start New season in January/February so season now takes place during calendar year for the next 2 seasons at least..

There's a lot of moving pieces there, and audience/ broadcast/ ticketing issues. It could work, yes, and certainly maintains the integrity of the largest campaign, the league.

But the knock-on effect looks so problematic that I worry the easiest solution is a clean break - ie total null and void cancellation of ongoing competitions - so that everything can carry on as normal as quickly as possible from a calendar POV, by just pretending this season is over now, and nothing happens for four months.

That's what I would do, as a start point, if I wasn't a Liverpool fan and don't fucking care about anything else.

The World Cup fucks it all up so we may as we’ll stagger the season start and end dates, with breaks, until 2023/24.

I'll cater the event Jon

With everything still to play for across the league and nothing decided, surely they'll have to finish this season. But when that happens god only knows. They can't even pay us out as champions.
