Not that that encourages me in any way but I also didn't think Lucas was that bad today. Kept the ball well for most of it, couple of very nice runs and would have had a goal except for an exceptional save.

Could easily have given away a penalty but somehow didn't and instead saved a certain goal.

It's a fine line but I must admit I've started to think the upside of a good performance from him doesn't outweigh the downside of a poor one.

I read through this thread before watching the match, and expected him to be shite, really shite.

But he was good, infact I'll go as fare as saying he was very good.
The abuse he gets from some on here is remarkable and when he has a good game, he still gets stick.

He's been quite good in the last few games, and there seemed to be a bit more spark to his approach to the game.

To say he's one of the worst midfielders to ever play for the club is beyond ridiculous, and to say he's a player with no talent is also plain stupid.

Wheter or not he'll make it here is open for debate, but it's pretty clear that he'll have a good career wherever he ends up.
