This isn’t a fearsome Utd side, there’s no Rooney Ronaldo and Berbatov here no Tevez here, No RVP no RNV. It’s a 20 year old with no goals. Plus it’ll be a great test for Quansah in his development to really prove he deserves to be 3rd choice. He’s passed every test so far.

Utd have it in them to beat us. They also have it in them to get thumped. I actually think the game will be quite competitive and it's not just another game.

I know what I want from the season, last season without a trophy didn't feel good at all so I hope we put that right this season......right now the league cup just so happens to be the quickest and easiest route to doing that.

It might be - but why risk seeing if can beat them without our strongest team when we could play our best team and potentially give them a hammering that gives us momentum into other games.

I still feel we prioritize the PL, its far a great trophy compared to all there is and we in the run in a season where City are stuttering. We cant afford to take chances with a league game, we field our best in both United and Arsenal games. Am sure we can pass through Westham with our second team after all Fulham clobbered them 5 -0 over the weekend

Our second team likely could not put away West Ham's first team. Not at all. However West Ham are in the same situation as we are. Midweek Euro game, PL games bookending the LC ¼ final. So we won't play a full strength team - but neither will they I suspect. Even more so because it's at Anfield and they won't be expecting a win.
