Are you ready to pull the lever?

Should Slot get sacked?

  • Yes, immediately if possible.

  • No, but he has until the end of the year to turn it around.

  • No, winning the league bought him enough time to see out the season.

  • No way.

  • Other, elaborate...

There's a difference between being out of your depth and purposefully sabotaging the club when you know you're out of your depth.

I actually think Slot will turn this around, and back him to do it. Just like him a lot less as a person now.

I don't think that's what he's doing, and I doubt you actually believe that.

I didn't watch the game last night or pay attention to any interviews though.

I do actually believe that. And even if you don't, the fact that me and others think it's a possibility is enough news already.

I can't speak for Klopp but I doubt he's praying for Arne. He'll have seen this for what it is. I don't think Klopp or anyone with an ounce of integrity would buy it for a minute.

If he was so desperate to use any excuse to cover his arse wouldn't he have made way more of Jota's death? That seems like by far the most obvious and bullet-proof sympathy card he could possibly play.

It's mostly because people seem to think they have to say something about it every hour of the day.

Imagine spending all day on the internet complaining about someone else not doing their job well.
People were piling out on 75 minutes. In their droves. Again at 85. That’s what shit we are dealing with and I’m going to moan.

Slot has been a total dickhead recently for sure but you don't sack a league winning manager 2 months into the season, especially with team in transition and no replacement lined up (I'm not buying the Klopp comeback story at all)

In theory, he deserves the full season to turn it around. But the end of the year sounds more realistic unless he shuts the fuck up and focuses on training and coaching his team

If he ever goes there I hope he's out the door before the press conference is over...
I won't call for him to be sacked but I've not seen even an inkling to suggest that he can turn it around

Who's spending every hour of their day moaning about it? It's a forum, you come out with some weird comments sometimes. People are having their say. It's like telling the record buying public off for having an opinion on the latest album they've bought.

The season has been a joke, even moreso because we're apparently champions AND we've just blown our wad for the first time ever with not much to show for it in terms of improvement and our manager is coming out with utter dross in interviews, so much so, that suggests he's already well out of his depth. The performances are about as bad as the ones under Hodgson, and with an infinitely more talented squad.

I'm surprised nobody started the narrative that Giovanni Van Bronckhorst is actually Evil Pep in disguise. It might become my thing now

What have you seen to think he can or is just blind faith based off last season? What does turn it around mean to you?

Good qn. At this point, "turn it around" = top 8, and a 2 win out of every 3 games ratio. Enough not to get sacked. Then build again next season

I think fans are generally pre-programmed to try and find the good in things. Yeah, many of us are moany fuckers but still, not every team can win all the time, so it's about the moments, great passages of play, individual players that excite you, the journey and above all, the escapism.

The problem I have with this current iteration of Liverpool is I can find none of those things.

This is what bothers me. I can normally find some positives even from bad performances but I'm struggling to see anything in this recent run of games.

It was embarrassing throwing kids under the bus last night and saying we don't have depth. Bollocks. Slot seems to pander to the first team, giving them time off when they had the opportunity to play themselves into form in a pretty meaningless match.

The same can be said for pre-season when instead of a bonding camp to get the new lads to gel, he prioritised extra nights at home. There seem to be a lot of egos now and not much unity, or giving your all for the team. (Szobo excepted.)

I think it's over for him. He might hang on by his fingertips over the next 3 games but the writing is on the wall.

He's not the manager we thought/hoped he might be. The football is awful despite having some great players. It's not like he's trying to get a tune out of Charlie Adam, Poulsen, Konchesky, Jovanovic, Borini & the like.

Klopp is not coming back this soon! And besides I thought Edwards and him did not get along!
I would like Slot to turn it around but if we lose the next game and nothing has changed then I am afraid he has to go. However I feel he might win the next game

I really think we're all hugely underestimating the toll that losing Diogo took on the team this past summer... That, and the unprecedented overhaul that's taken place since June, helps me to view this far more rationally than so many on here seem to do - Not saying I'm right and you're wrong, just that I'm not panicing yet.

I think, in hindsight, this drop in form was inevitable, given those two enormous factors, and I'm not sure any manager could have made a huge difference. He's still the bloke who got us over the line last season, and I do believe he'll come good. Though I don't expect them to do it, the arse can still drop plenty of points - it's not like they haven't done this before - and we're still in the race for the title, if we can stabilize things quickly. We'll also do ok in Europe (if we can stabilize), and I couldn't care less about the bloody league cup.

I voted to give him the entire season... He's earned that, and as long as we're back to normal (competing / close in both big competitions) by then, with a defined style incorporating our new players, I'll be ok with that. If not, well THEN it's absolutely a conversation that needs to happen.

At this stage into the season we haven't seen even a glimmer of a sign that we can turn it around.. Tbh we are even lucky to be on 15 pts where the reality is we probably should have around 10 which would be a fairer reflection... How do we build again? Surely we are have very little left in the bank at this stage to spend on players...sell to finance new buys? Who do we sell? Some of the new players?
We'd be taking big hits if we try flog any of them..
Mac and other players who been here a few years.? That could end up just more of the same as this season..

When does this turn around need to happen? Like say we draw v villa and draw/lose to Madrid and lose to city... Is that not good enough... When does the line get drawn in the sand?
Im not calling for him to be sacked but would 8th be good enough? Surely after our outlay the owners would need the champ lge money for costs of running the club

Oh no. No, no, no... Top 8 is not even remotely acceptable. If we don't qualify for the European Cup next season, that's that. That's giving him waaaaaaaaaay too much rope.

Looks like I'm the only one who voted NO. Embarrassing. You lot would have sacked Shankly after the Watford game. Or before.

Bunch of bedwetting kneejerk wankers.

We just won the League and you want him gone. Fuck off. This forum is actually called 6CM. I bet some of you lot left at HT.

I'll wait for the pile-on from the usual suspects. Just remember we are Liverpool and our history has been built on staying faithful to our traditions.

Fucks sake, Arteta has won fuck all and spent a billion and their shitty supporters wanted him out every season and now he is a better manager than the guy who won our 2nd League title in the last 35 years.

Arne Slot is the manager of Liverpool FC, I will be supporting the team and the manager at Anfield on Saturday night. Will you?

No. Just the team.

Fuck off back to RAWK.

My dad said in delirium today that this team was bought to look like Billy Liddell but instead looked like balmer.

I had to Google Jack balmer, he's still getting shit for being ugly, even in death, but it is deserved unfortunately.
