I think Klopp might do some heavy rotating for this one. Especially with the Arsenal game only 3 days later.

Becker

Clyne
Van Dijk
Lovren
Moreno

Henderson
Wijnaldum
Shaq

Firmino
Mane
Sturridge

I hope Rafa rests players as well

Play Milner at LB instead of Moreno... Moreno will fuck up

I think we’ll see something like:

————-Alisson————-
Millie—Lovren-VVD—Robbo
——-—Fabs—Gini————
————-Shaq—————-
-Studge——————Mane
—————Mo—————-

I’d expect wholesale changes for the FA Cup game. Maybe Origi or Lallana will find a place in the line up. Can’t see us dropping focus on the league and the midfield has been getting some nice rotation the past month. Mo is flying, let him play the next three then rest him. Or take him off early in this one.

Next 3 games we have in the space of 12 days are absolutely massive: Newcastle, Arsenal & City.

I'd rotate as little as possible and let key players rest only after the City game, as they'll have 9 days of rest before the next league game.

Please dont play Moreno

Well, Robbo looks like he needs a bit of a rest, seeing how his crossing has been poor recently. Of all the games to play Moreno, Newcastle at home seems like one of the safest ones, so I think there is a good chance he'll play. He was OK-ish against Burnley and this game might be more suited for him, although Rafa will probably find a way to target him.

The only players I'm worried about are Salah and VD. They will be needing a rest

VVD looked a bit worried/pissed off when klopp walked over to him at the end of the match, & t y both spoke covering their mouths. I think he may have taken a slight knock, perhaps that rib again.

Robbo looks like he may need a rest and we need to keep him fresh and fit for Arsenal and City. The same thought applies to VvD, Fabinho (how quickly does he now seem to be a critical player to have in our midfield for those two games) and Salah but it's tougher to find replacements for them considering our injury list. Keita will likely be kept out to lick his wounds opening up a spot on the left. Mane also looks like he may need a rest prior to Arsenal & City.

City really is a 6 pointer and could even be the title decider affecting both clubs from then on depending on what happens in that game. We need to keep our key players as fresh as possible and certainly injury free for that game: Alisson, VvD, Robbo, Lovren (since neither Gomez nor Matip will be back in time) Fabs, Gini, Milner, Firmino, Mane and Salah

VvD and Milner can be subbed off if all goes to plan (Fabs into CB for VvD and Hendo coming on into CM). Defence should be more than good enough for Newcastle, Fabs and Milner strong in midfield and enough power and creativity with the front 5 to take care of business.

----------------------------- Becker

Clyne -------- Lovren ------------- VvD ------------- Moreno

---------------------------- Fabinho

--------Milner----------------------------- Lallana

Shaq-------------------- Sturridge ----------------Origi

I'll work backwards and think about our strongest lineups needed for City and Arsenal.

Thus for Newcastle, we'll need the squad. Rafa will put up a stubborn fight:

----------------------------- Becker

Clyne -------- Lovren ------------- VVD ------------- Moreno

---------------------------- Fabinho

--------Milner----------------------------- Lallana

Shaqiri-------------------- Sturridge ----------------Keita

This one might have to be won late.

How can you not start Shaq?

Virgil said in the post match interview that he had been struggeling with a cold.

Do we give VVD a rest? He probably needs it. Maybe Matip and Lovren, with the big man on the bench I reckon.

Clyne------?????------Lovren------Robbo--
-------------------Henderson--------------------
-----------Milner------------Lallana------------
---------------------Shaqiri-----------------------
----------Salah-------------Origi----------------

Fabinho has become crucial pretty quickly, so I think he needs a bit of protection ahead of Arsenal and then City, same with VVD. I'd give Mane a hook too given his recent injury issues, but I think we need to replace his pace, so I'd give Origi the nod ahead of Sturridge. And of course Shaqiri deserves to start, he should have started yesterday.

Wijnaldum has to start, Klopp isn't going to rest him for two games.

I get that we need Fab for arsenal and city but he hardly played in Aug and Sept and he didn't go the world cup unlike a bundle of other players. He should have plenty in the tank

Agreed, I'd play him in all 3 games, especially as both Newcastle and Arsenal are at home, also we have 5 days recovery for City, and after that he can rest for 9 days(play the ressies in the cup).
I'd do the same for all first team players that are at the moment somewhat fresh and not risking injuries, it's not that hectic of a schedule, and we cannot risk falling behind.
