Ah, gotcha.Sure. Some folks think I don't rate Coutinho though, so was responding to that.

Brodgson's right; if he adds goals to his game he will become world class.
Pretty much what I've been saying for about 2 years.
And agree with whomever up above suggested that the Coutinho/Silva comparisons are futile. He really reminds me of Aimar.

RT:@TonyBarretTimes Philippe Coutinho has agreed a new deal with Liverpool taking him up to 2020.
Coutinho is a really strange choice of player to be giving out about, when we have the likes of Borini, Lambert and Balotelli still in the squad.
Listen between him, Sturridge and Sterling that is a front three that should put the fear of god into teams.
Liverpool Football Club are delighted to announce Philippe Coutinho has signed a new long-term contract.
The 22-year-old has committed his future to the Reds by penning the deal at Melwood today.
Brendan Rodgers signed Coutinho from Inter Milan in January 2013 and, to date, he's made 81 appearances for the club, scoring 10 goals. He has also re-established himself in the Brazilian national squad.
Moments after putting pen to paper on the contract, Coutinho told Liverpoolfc.com: "I'm really happy. It's a dream come true playing for this great club and being part of this squad.
"Today I've committed my future to the club and for this I'm feeling very pleased.
"This club is great and the fans have always supported me, so I've been eager to sign this new deal since conversations started. Today is a very happy day."
He added: "It means so much. This club has given me the opportunity to play and believed in me even though I hadn't been playing regularly at my previous club.
"I've had a great reception since my first day here. As I always say, Liverpool is a big family and I'm a happy person here."
Coutinho has been in outstanding form in recent weeks for Liverpool, leading to him being voted as the club's Player of the Month for December.
After claiming two assists in the Reds' 2-0 victory over West Ham United on Saturday, Rodgers reserved glowing praise for the No.10, describing his performances as 'top level'.
Yes, because that's what people are sayingOnly 22 years old.
Reading some of the comments in here, it's safe to assume he should have already won multiple World Player of the Year awards, couple of Golden Boots, and made consecutive appearances in the Team of the Season.
But oh well, Coutinho most probably won't improve much in the next 5 years anyways. He's already hit his peak. Yes, at 22. What a shame.
Because Coutinho has the potential to be a world greatWhy isn't Lallana looked at with the same type of scrutiny?
Because Coutinho has the potential to be a world great
Lallana doesn't
Lallana does deserve criticism, I don't deny it, Yet no one is starting a thread on him to complain about him.Lallana is in his prime and cost 20-odd million. He deserves to have at least some sort of scrutiny.
I get your point, but it ends up making me think you'd complain about Ronaldo if he didn't score a hat trick every game.
Given how much we paid for Coutinho, his age, his relative lack of recognition before we signed him, he's been nothing less than a superb signing.
Yes, we want him to do better, we want all our players to be better... but for the last few games he's playing as the best creative midfielder in the league. We can't ask for much more than he's giving recently.
He is the best player in the league at getting past a defender, by miles. That will do for me.
