Divock Origi new Deal ?

Another problem with contract extension with view to preserving transfer value means his wages increase thus making it even harder to make a sale

Potentially going off topic but I didn't realise Jimenez was on loan at Wolves from Benfica. He'll be worth a fortune and I wouldnt be surprised if it isn't Wolves who get him.

I think it's a good move. Good attitude, raw ability, he's got it all if he gets his confidence up a bit.

I could be wrong, but I think Wolves offered 22m last Summer and Origi turned down the move.

After we sold Dominic Solanke for £19m, Jordan Ibe for £15m and Danny Ings for £20m, I've tried to be a bit less dismissive and snarky about the supposedly ridiculous fees that we can get for our players.

Wolves are owned by a Chinese hedge fund or something, and they basically have Mendes as D.O.F.

They want to be the next Man City, and I can see them spending big and getting round all the rules in a similar manner. Expect a massive pretend sponsorship deal and a load of Mendes clients coming in for sums much lower than market value, while envelopes are liberally thrown round in the Caymans.

I know it's China, but I'm vaguely hopeful that the link to actual banking and finance will ensure they at least try and stick to existing regulations and rules, and not risk the fallout and damage to reputation that is a bit less of a concern if you're actually an entire country, like City's owners.

Obviously now I've said that, Tingyi Noodles will announce a Wolves stadium naming right and shirt deal worth £400,000,000 over 10 years and their new mascot will be "King Noodly"

Personally, I would risk spending £50m on Depay and sell Origi for £20m but if Klopp thinks he can turn this poor mans Lakaku around, who am I to argue.

I would get Depay as well.. Whilst Origi has shown he can play there, additional cover is needed for the wings..

Lose Mane or Salah to injury.. we have issues..

Depay?

He's a massive cunt who is far better suited to a small club in a small league where he can preen and sulk and be the best player that everyone knows is the best player, like Ronaldo but a shit version

Yeah, his season has hit the rails, hasn't it, due to bad attitude? He's not an obvious choice.

There is a chance they are stupid and talentless hedge fund managers. The Chinese government do not allow you to short sell individual stocks, which means their sole available strategy is restricted to buy stock / sell index, every day, all day. Wayne Rooney could be a hedge fund manager in China.

Defo fits the mould as a FSG type signing though...

Mane was disruptive with his former clubs, look how he turned out..
Mane was 'disruptive' in the off season when he wanted a move, as was Van Dijk, as was Keita, and millions of other players who want a move when a big bidder comes in (Suarez for us). They didn't turn into a bag of shite mid-season though.

Or have a group of senior team-mates complain that you were a lazy, gobby show-off who thought he was too good to train hard, learn tactics or try and improve as a footballer, and advice went in one ear and out the other.

He's a fucking bellend.

Yes, doesn't sound like Klopp's ideal choice.

Yes, doesn't sound like Klopp's ideal choice.

He'd need a brain and personality transplant, but his basic physical gifts and skills are undeniably impressive from what I saw, even if he had a fair few dismal games for United, not least against us, when he was fucking diabolical and got hooked at halftime.

I've changed my mind on Depay after seeing this

Still does not change the fact we need back-up for our front 3, and Divock is not the answer.

Any sign of the talented kids coming through? WoodBurn?

Woodburn seems to have gone through a bit of a crisis, but is coming back into a bit of form. He's starting to look less than a sure thing, it has to be said, after a few loan failures. Still only 19 though.

We need squad depth, so if Divock is willing to stay for a reasonable wage why not ?

He gets to play a bit part for a team that will challenge for trophies.
