Ekitike

Probably a good thing. You don't want to come across as if you like a player. That's offensive to some.

I don't really rate Sesko that highly.

Alvarez is a good CF, great workrate, further ahead in his development, but I think he's close to his best level right now. Etitike has a higher ceiling imo. Moreover, I do worry about Alvarez's lack of height. I want a 9 who can help us defend and attack set pieces. We're getting shorter with Frimpong and Wirtz. Set pieces are a big part of the game in England.

"Not a volume striker but someone who produces great goals. Overall, I'll say he is a chaotic striker, not really a ruthless poacher, but someone who can generate danger through unorthodox routes."

AVOID!

Did you watch the video until the end?

At 65m, he's a good gamble given his attributes and who he'd play alongside at LFC (more suited to us than CFC).

At 100m, he's not worth it.

There's no volume strikers available. Even Alvarez isn't a volume striker

We need 3 players each hitting at least 15 in the league. Across gakpo, Salah, Diaz, Ekitike, wirtz, there's no reason it wouldn't work

The thing about Etitike and Wirtz, is whilst they do like fragile and a bit lightweight compared to the PL CBs, if they come here we'll put them on the "asthma pumps" and they'll get stronger and quicker, especially after spending a year in the gym with Mo, and getting knocked around in training by VVD and Konate.

About 90 goals will get you the league.
Dom and Alex will get you 12 roughly between them
Wertz 12
Salah 20
Gakpo 16
Ekitike 18
Diaz 16
Kerkez 3
Frimpong 6
VVD 3
CJ 2

'A chaotic striker not a ruthless poacher'

I thought we had one of those.

And based on those 'highlights' and trying to transfer those skills to the PL ? That'd be a 'slam the door and bolt it' no thank you.

With Barca going for Rashford we might see Diaz stay. If he doesnt leave to Saudi obvs.
I've never thought he'd leave. It's 6CM that has convinced itself he'll leave for big money. Why would we let one of our top scorers leave? It's great having cover for LW too - why would we want to weaken ourselves by selling either Gakpo or Diaz? I'm looking forward to seeing them combine with Kerkez next season, genuine strength on both wings and through the centre.

This is Chelsea we are talking about. They might buy Delap, Ekitike, Alvarez, Sesko, and Gyokeres and tie them down to 10 year contracts.

This is true. Might be going 3-2-5 next season if Boehly gets his wish.

So i've got looked into his stats, his assists, his goals, his pressing numbers, numbers on the pitch and we shoudl definitely sign him because:

I want a massive Hugo's Boss banner on the Kop and secondly EKITIKE backwards is EKITIKE. The Big Palindrome himself.

Nunez is brainless and not very technical either. A kick and run merchant.

Suarez could be described as a choatic striker and not a ruthless poacher. But the difference between him and Nunez would be vast.

Similarly, this guy is better than Nunez. Better at dribbling, better at link up play, doesn't miss absolute sitters/tap ins at an incredible rate and has a brain for football. For the right price (60 odd million), he's worth the gamble. At 100m, absolutely not.

Frankfurt want 100M Euro, don’t they? So it’s £85M. If Delap signs for Chelsea and it satisfies their appetite we might have a free run at Ekitike and surely then Hughes can negotiate it down to 70 or something like that.

Still expensive, but not 100M.

Yeah. That's what I'm hoping for.

He'd have to indicate that we're the only place he wants to go too.

He should not be going for more than what Isak went to Newcastle for. So around £63m.

Dunno about this, not a fan of any of these young "what if" strikers with 100m+ tags, would prefer to take a punt on someone for 1/4 of the price if we can't get proven quality like Alvarez. FWIW I think this news is bullshit anyway

Agree - and also if we are going to take a gamble - I would prefer the £30M Delap who has scored 12 goals playing in an utterly shit team, and he has been raised in the City academy so his fundamentals will be right.

I don’t think Delap is anywhere in the same league in terms of link-up play as Ekitike or Sesko. This was Nunez’s downfall too - the goal output is directly related to confidence and confidence builds through being on the same wavelength as your teammates. I can see Wirtz and Ekitike playing quick one-twos on the edge of the box, Delap is much more of a counterattacking team striker who needs space to thrive.
