Hey Jude Bellingham

Well, we have other assets to sell: Ox, Gomez, maybe even Curtis if Bellingham were to take his place. I wonder if they would be open to a part exchange for Naby.

That might not be a bad idea for both parties. The issue would be their valuation.

I've mentioned it before but the one time we had a table next to John Henry with his missus and Mike Gordon, they looked like the most boring people alive, sat there nursing bottled water and spring greens for a couple of hours hardly saying a word to each other. I mean the Saudis might have just pulled out of a deal or something, hence their icy mood, but I did get to tell my kids, see that's what being a billionaire gets you. Bored as all shit. Take a year off and go skiing etc

"Take a year off and go skiing" isn't exactly anathema to the kids of the super wealthy.

What’s his position? I can’t say I’ve followed him closely.

He’s a complete midfielder. Think Wijnaldum, but potentially better at everything. I don’t think he’s the Gerrard type; in Klopp’s system he would be the “2nd” midfielder, the one playing next to the #6, where Thiago is playing now.

Jude Bellingham: Police investigate Borussia Dortmund midfielder's comments on referee Felix Zwayer after Bayern Munich loss.
A criminal complaint has been filed and the case will now be forwarded to the Dortmund public prosecutor's office who will determine whether there will be any criminal charges against Bellingham.

His official song will now be changed from "Hey Jude" to "Smooth Criminal."

They are one step from locking up innocent people who don’t want to get a shot that doesn’t really work. Criminal charges against a teenage footballer for mean words is child’s play.

Criminal complaint seems ridiculous, but I am no expert on German slander law.

I'm no expert on these things, but seeing as he doesn't make any outright accusations, he just says "If you give a referee who has match fixed before...what do you expect?" kind of implying but not explicitly accusing, and the ref *had* match fixed before, so that's factual...sounds like there's wriggle room to get off on technicalities maybe?

Where's our legal eagle @dantes when you need input. I don't think he slandered him personally all he said was he'd been done in the past for match fixing

He said more than that. He was talking about the penalty decision, and implied it was a result of the referee being involved in match-fixing again. He doesn't really have a defence, he's not a journalist, he has no plausible way to say that it was his genuine belief, and he didn't word it carefully enough to now present it as a personal opinion.
