He's no Jordan Henderson.
Messi could keep a beachball off of Henderson for an hour in a phone box.

Trying my best to keep with la liga, long may this thread continue. Nice stats too Oncy.

Defending the joke that is La Liga and the distribution of TV rights, proof if ever it was needed that one should always trust the opposite of Onceared's opinion

- (here comes the inevitable who the fuck are you, blah blah, always a cunt blah blah, yeah whatever, you're the cretin that claimed Mancini was "world class"

Call me a cunt all you like but Sid Lowe knows the score http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/sid_lowe/09/20/spanish.league.meeting/index.html?sct=sc_wr_a2

Honestly, by your logic Man Utd and Man City would get the majority of the Sky TV money, further enshrining their status as League Leaders, do you really think that's fair? Would you be on here defending Man City with all their riches being further empowered by getting more Sky income than any other club? Of course you wouldn't, so don't fucking claim it's ok for La Liga to be an unbalanced piece of shit League.

Power in numbers. If the other teams got organized they could force a fairer deal. Sign the deal or you two can go play ech other every week.

The speed of those 2 sides is incredible. Messi looks stuck on fast forward when he's on the ball. 64 goals in 64 games wow!
How 'by my logic' would United and City get the tv revenue for England exactly?
Do you think that Manchester City are the same in terms of worldwide appeal as Barcelona or Madrid.
A few years back the elite european clubs G34 or whatever they are called threatened to pull out of their leagues and form a European super league, they argued that the reason people were tuning in was because of them and their individual leagues needed to pay them more (im guessing so they could continue to afford silly wages) so the leagues consented, given that the choice was lose all the teams that anyone wants to watch therefore creating a competetive league that no one wants to watch, they didnt have much choice. I dont think the distribution is quite as bad in most leagues youre right but then in 'most' leagues you have a little more in terms of marketable names (milan, Ac, Inter, Juve, Roma, Lazio/United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and i suppose City nowadays etc) in the spanish league nobody watches the other teams so Real and Barca are in an amazing position to strengthen their hands. A little bit (i suppose) like players going to the big clubs demanding twice the wage, because they understand what they are signing up for. The big clubs would i guess always defend their position given that to remain at the top they need to pay the highest wages and fees.
Youre right it isnt a great state of affairs and im no real fan of either club but you can see why their position is strong.
Hopefully there will be someway of helping the other clubs out, because as you say nobody wants a monopoly.
Am i right in thinking though that in the last decade the same number of clubs have won La liga as the Premiership?
Im not sure if thats right, I cant remember when Rafas Valencia won it.
As for who are you/hes the cunt... whats the point? Im happy to hear your viewpoint on things and the more people who post the better. Cheers.

It was supposed to be the sports business marriage from heaven. Nike makes the kit for European Champions FC Barcelona and both share the income from millions of shiny claret-and-blue shirts bearing the names of living legends such as Leo Messi.

The jerseys are more than just presents for fans. Special "pitch shirts", made just for the squad, are also meant to make the players' lives easier on the pitch, improving performance and helping them win titles.

But embarrassed Barcelona officials have now admitted that the players are unhappy with the shirt design, complaining that it soaks up sweat to become a heavy, skin-clinging nuisance.

Players have even taken to weighing their shirts on scales at half-time to see how much weight they have gained, according to Spain's El País newspaper.

A shirt that weighed 200 grams at the beginning of a match can weigh up to two-and-a-half times as much just 45 minutes later.

Dressing room sources told El País that players noticed during a pre-season tour of the US that the shirt "weighed a tonne" and "stuck to the body like a limpet".

They hoped the problem would not persist when they returned to the more forgiving weather conditions in Spain, but on Friday the club called a meeting with Nike to seek solutions.

Nike said it has begun testing the shirt. "Nike's product team is working to address concerns with the FCB home jersey," a spokeswoman said.

"All product concerns are treated with the utmost importance and a solution is expected when all appropriate testing is completed."

Major clubs can sell more than 1m shirts a year, and Barcelona had said this season's design looked set to break records.

The much-vaunted eco-friendly pitch shirt, said to use the recycled plastic of a dozen water bottles in a single garment, reportedly uses a version of Nike's Dri-Fit fabric, made of polyester microfibres to help wearers stay dry and comfortable.

Nike's website boasts that the official Barcelona shirt it sells for £55 is "a game-ready performer with sweat-wicking fabric for distraction-free competition".

The description does not seem to fit the pitch shirts worn by the club's players.

Describe it for us.
Ramos broke up an attack in their box, cut out to the right back position, slid it infield to Ozil who bounced it off to Ronaldo, Ronaldo just sidestopped it for Kaka, who turned inside and put it back to Ozil, then the ball was slid out to Benzema in line with the 18 yard box who took one touch and fired it back in low Ronaldo sidefooted it into the roof of the net.
About 6 seconds from Ramos to goal.
Utterly utterly beautiful.

Cheers Dave and Oncy. Some impressive one touch pass and move there. Excellent goal

Honestly that video doesnt do it justice. You have to see it in real time and from the start. Its also better fro
the side so you can see everyones movement. Ive rewound it about 25 times now. Mesmeric.
