The most interesting part of that video is Pascoe scratching his ear near the end. Probably thinking to himself "When was the last time I wore a pair of pants? Do I even own a pair of pants...I have an exquisite pair of calves!"
'Pants'? You're not in Kentucky or some God forsaken place now. His pants are on under his shorts (I hope). Trousers FFS.
I'll have you know that training is currently taking place in the US so Pascoe is most likely using local slang in order to fit in.
Also, in Ireland we all go commando so we generally get away with using either pants or trousers ...or in the god forsaken parts of the country "bríste".
Alternatively....your opinion is pants.

Pants is just a use all word for trousers, tracking bottoms, jeans, & 3/4 lengths in Liverpool, I'm assuming it's the same for ILD.

Even kids here don't call underwear pants, it's 'boxees' or undies.
Tbh 'top' gets used to mean a jumper, polo shirt, tshirt, pretty much anything but a shirt, in Liverpool too.

Damn straight. The wife says boxers cos she's from Crosby & they think they're posh round them ways.
She says "going to the football", & "going to the football stadium" instead of the "goin' the match' &" goin' the ground" as well.

It's not just her, half of her family say football stadium, none of them like any sport except a couple of them watch martial arts, cos her stepdad is an mma & Thai kickboxing trainer.
They call f1, 'car racing', or 'formula 1 car racing'.
They also call tea dinner & dinner lunch like you southern poofs too.
