Liverpool related transfer speculation

I will be honest with you all - if instead of signing Wirtz we had signed the RB, LB, Baleba, and a striker to replace Nunez - that would have been enough for me this summer. Pretty sure that wins us the league

Look I will be honest with you - in the history of our signings - there have been two players we signed that got me really excited because I every time I had seen them they stood out for me:

1) Torres - I honestly could not believe he signed for us.
2) Origi - yes I know a strange choice but I saw him play really well for Belgium in a world cup and again was shocked that we got him and none of the other top clubs did.

Other than the above - I like being surprised where we sign players that then develop to become world class or just hit the ball running from day one. So I am more used to that. With the current players we are linked to in Kerkez, Frim, Wirtz - well:

1) Kerkez - I like the idea and the need but he is a LB.
2) Frim - honestly have never been impressed with him
3) Wirtz - I thought he was shit for Germany and when we played them in the CL - I thought he was shit.

don't even get me started on numbers 2 and 3 and their performance in last seasons Europa Cup final

I am happy we are signing players -but I don't think the above will address the major issue of having that extra midfielder, and the need for a clinical striker, and I honestly think we have been over dependent on VVD for defence. Also I really hope if Diaz leaves we get a replacement and don't make it out that Wirtz will be guy that plays that role. I see Wirtz as the replacement for Harvey who I think we will definitely let go of - but obviously Wirtz will be the number 10 that we can play in most games.
 
I honestly think this is gong to be one of the best transfer windows we'd have had in the last 20 years.

It's amazing already, and we still have time for a CM, CF, CB and maybe even a LW.

I'm happy for us to wait a bit on these positions because there's no clear stand out that we absolutely must sign.

Then I feel sad for you son. Most times I've watched Wirtz, I've seen him do something special.
