Considering we live in an age of football where data driven decisions are more prevalent than ever then one can only assume the decision is extremely evidence based. Don’t confuse the outcome with following the right process up til then.

Whenever this happens I do always think why not sub them on sooner, so that they have warmed up kicking the ball.

I thought this a while ago when watching NFL kickers warm up, but i'm surprised we don't have ways to let players warm up kicking the actual ball. Either on the side line (into a net) or for home teams somewhere back in the locker room.
 
Yeah signing young brilliant players who've just signed a five year deal with an oil club who have the largest wage bill of any club ever and who have just won the champions league is absolutely in line with a moneyball strategy. I don't know how you unearth these gems, apart from watching them win yet another trophy last night.

How many more do we need in? Who goes out to make room for them? If Diaz and Jota stay do we have room for a #9 and play a MF of Dom, Alex, Grav along with Wirtz?

Elliott will go and probably Chiesa, Morton, Gomez and Tsimikas, which frees up room. Even with these four coming in, I sense we're just getting started. At the very least a new CB and 9/forward will likely come in, and ideally Bajectic is given a chance to compete across the midfield.

Mr Nunez is absolutely awesome athlete who with the right system is generational. He will score you 30 plus goals next season and 10+ Assists. Even at £100m he is a bargain and far more valuable than a "rat-face". We will also throw in Naby Kieta for free who unfortunately is mistaken for Purple Akhi around Liverpool

I am not suggesting we keep him, its clear Slot doesn't rate him but he isn't nearly as bad as people make out. Do you remember Joe Linton, he went from being striker to a MF? Nunez is able to take the ball from our 1/3 to the oppositions 1/3 better than any of our fwds, now if he passed instead of shooting he probably would have 10+ assists in the league. This is how I would pitch him and ask for £75m+.

Are you deliberately missing the point? He had limited minutes because he was so bad Diaz played as the 9 before him.

Did I say we keep him? All I am saying he isn't as bad as many people make out. If I am selling something I sell on the positives and not the negatives. We are selling are we not? here are the +ves
14GAs with limited minutes if given more game time he could have hade 12-14 goals and 10+ assists

Fitness
Good character in the dressing room.
If someone brings up his poor conversion rate, change the way he plays as said, he is fastest out of all our fwds and he can bring the ball from our 1/3 to the oppositions 1/3 better than anyone. If he passed as apposed to shoot, we would be talking about a 100m player
