Liverpool related transfer speculation

There is a small part of me that would like to see us bring him in and have him win a title with us, while United subsidize his wages.

But that's just because I'm petty. It would be a bad decision.
I think they are refusing to subsidise his wages, that's why the can't get rid of him. Although they might change this stance as the deadline draws nearer

Rodrygo, Guehi and Ekitike is enough players in right?
Out going would be Nunez, Konate, Diaz, Cheesy and Elliott from the 1st team?

3 CBs plus Badge and Endo as back-up CBs
Exactly. Not enough for a team expected to challenge for 4 trophies but especially PL and CL.

Badge and Endo are not and never will be CBs. I’d play Nallo over them - and that’s how bad our CB depth will be. We won’t sell Konate.

I don't think its feasible to compete in 4 comps. I would put out out kids in the domestic cup competitions

You'd have to say Isak doesn't have ambition if he's staying with the Geordies
That's a bit harsh.

He's 25, and probably has been told that newcastle will not sell him for less than 150m. If Newcastle were close to our valuation I'd imagine we'd be hearing more from his camp.

Why? He has a 3 year contract and he's not going to drop tools for a move. Not to mention they are in the UCL too

He’s not winning the PL or CL with them, not getting the contract he wants and if they can’t agree a new one he’s off next summer for a much reduced fee.

They’ll have to break the bank for a new contract which will fuck up their wage structure. Tough one.

If he had 2 years left then he would have been sold. 3 years left he is fully locked in and no one is willing to wait. Id imagine any contract renewal is going to have prolonged discussions over a release fee.

I don't get the logic? He plays with a team that has a limited chance of winning top level trophies. He's at the peak of his career
*If* he (and he not the club) decides not to move on, when a club that has a better time of winning trophies moves for him.

Then it's surely a lack of ambition to win things.

Yeah so my if, is really if he's the one declining the move (not the club)
