Anyone?
He's playing with a shoulder injury til the end of the season
Anyone?
Looks like the goalkeeper had a bet on.
I've a feeling the result was as good as it as because we didnt have Suarez.
I don't know whether that's because we were extra motivated today or because we create plenty of chances and today he wasn't there to miss them.

Better without our 30 goal striker? M'key.
Shoo. Get back under your bridge.
It's possible.
He's still inefficient.
187 shots, 23 goals. So on average he needs 8 shots to score once.
Van Persie - 130 shots, 24 goals. 5.4 shots per goal.
Bale - 136 shots, 18 goals. 7.5 shots per goal.
Michu - 103 shots, 17 goals. 6 shots per goal.
Ba - 114 shots, 15 goals. 7.6 shots per goal.
Benteke - 97 shots, 15 goals. 6.4 shots per goal.
Lambert - 82 shots, 14 goals. 5.8 shots per goal.
Berbatov- 75 shots, 13 goals. 5.7 shots per goal.
Lukaku- 79 shots, 13 goals. 6 shots per goal.
That's the top 9 goal scorers in the league, not some carefully selected comparison and he comes out as being the most inefficient of the bunch. The worrying thing is that he's still more inefficient than the rest in his best ever season. If his finishing drifts back towards the way it was last season he'll be significantly worse.
Just watching MOTD.
Rosco,
I'm curious to know - if you could choose out of the top 10 scorers above (Suarez included) only one that you'd like to see playing for us, who would be your top 3 candidates?
BTW - some of those top scorers above take penalties for their teams. The conversion rate for penalties is obviously higher than for other goals. Is this taken into account in that stats? (in other words - do you have the stats excluding penalties?)

I know, and I understand why they go in, but it looks comical. There are so many goals that look pretty much identical to that one.
Fair point, I don't know which ones take penalties though.
It isn't about picking one Jimmy.
Very recently some people were saying we'd be midtable mediocrity without Suarez, (totally ignoring that we are that with him.)
I was curious about it, if 187 shots were taken by other players for us would we be better off? It's a fair question and a tough one to answer. You have to factor in that Suarez makes a lot of opportunities for himself with his dribbling, but also that he can be wasteful in front of goal.
Rosco, it's clear that Suarez is not your cup of tea, and that you'd rather see him gone ( believe you also said it explicitly in some occasions, but I might be wrong, so please correct me if it isn't so).
In the post above you're using statistic, trying to show that we'd not be a worse team w/o him than we are with him. Fair enough. However, this stats doesn't show the full picture and you know it very well.
There are the penalties issue and the chances he creates for himself (you'll struggle to find a single player, bar Messi, who gets close to the percentage of opportunities he creates for himself).
You're also ignoring his work rate, the number of balls he wins by chasing opponents and the number of balls they loose due to his presence. This never-say-die spirit of his also makes his team mates work harder.
In short. I think you got it wrong here. Football wise I think Suarez will make almost every team in the world better, and certainly Liverpool.
You could argue about the damage his on fields behaviour which is stupid and irresponsible at times, causes. But I think his contribution when it comes to footballing ability is beyond doubt.
The trend has been for every halfwit to count everything that goes on in a game and think its all relevant. Then present retarded notions on the stat - Lucas is a world class DM because he makes lots of tackles is a great example.
