If they get baleba then maybe I'll think united can get a European place

Burnley have completed the signing of French midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu from Chelsea for a fee of more than £20m.

The 21-year-old has signed a five-year deal at Turf Moor.

BBC Sport understands the fee is similar to the £23.2m Chelsea paid to sign Ugochukwu from Rennes in 2023.

Sunderland have signed teenage Chelsea forward Marc Guiu on a season-long loan.

The Spaniard, now 19, moved to Stamford Bridge for £5m from Barcelona in July 2024 and scored six goals in 16 matches for the Blues last season.

Brentford forward Yoane Wissa (28) has returned to first-team training following constructive talks with head coach Keith Andrews but is still seeking a move away from the club.

Newcastle have zero pull.

And I'm not sure PSR is the sole reason they're floundering this transfer window. Been reading about the confusion behind the scenes over there. They've lost 2 DOFs in 2 seasons, now have a Head of Football Operations (Jack Ross, appointed in July) who is reporting to a DOF who hasn't been appointed. So is Ross the point guy for transfers right now? Or is Eddie Howe stepping in to cover that? And then their CEO has blood cancer (reported in Sep 2024) and was to step down once they've named his successor... and yep, they've not appointed that one as well.

So, who is effectively able to make decisions, decide strategies, negotiate, etc. over there now? It's no wonder they're making a mess of things right now.

Here's one of the pieces I read. You can just pop into one of their random forums and see the despondence over there. Win a cup after a 56-year drought, get back into the CL, and you feel you've entered a miserable space instead.

Howes nephew is the one who's running the show.
