The fume are fuming about a bus welcome for our bus on Sunday. Not theirs. But ours.
Hahahahaha. They're off their fucking heads.

Tbh I'm not happy about that though. Not right doing that so early in the season ahead of a pivotal match. I'm sure others disagree, but I'm not pleased.

I’m all up for it. The games this season have been more siege mentality than I can remember compared to similar stages in other seasons. I think we should keep it going.

I understand that argument, & perversely, enjoyed the welcomes ahead of the champions league games, but worth noting they started in the latter stages of the competition, which brings me to my main issue.

It creates a situation where we either now do it for every home match for the rest of the season, or, if we don't, then we've given city an exclusive stature that we normally do for champions league opponents.

That said, I get that it will help massively to get the crowd going (even more so than they will be anyway), & indeed foster that siege mentality (I actually believe, unlike most, that a draw could end up being a pretty good result this weekend).

When do we hear about Bernardo’s ban? Epic scenes if it is this week (and that he is banned)

I think because they don’t think they’re beaten before they turn up before they turn up we need to do it.

Once we get to the business end of the season we will do it again and again.

Thankfully it never happened, but can you imagine what would have followed if the City coach had ploughed into the Liverpool fans throwing the missiles at it.

Who’s fault would it have been?

The Scousers can thank their lucky 6 stars that the coach was forced to travel slowly, with a Police escort, and with an experienced coach driver, so it couldn’t veer off into the Scousers during the sustained missile attack from the Scousers.

On the flip side, the slowness of the coach, the Police escort, and the inability of the Merseyside Police to Police the situation, allowed the Scousers plenty of time to thrown numerous missiles at the coach from numerous vantage points along the route, including the roofs of Police riot vans.

You couldn’t make that last bit up. ‘From the roofs of Police riot vans’, with Merseyside Police Officers sat inside the vans watching what was going on.

Ferguson always instilled an ‘us vs everyone else’ mindset which brought them so much success.

I don’t mind that idea but we shouldn’t be doing stuff in November like that.

In fairness they have exclusive status, they are the reigning double champs and the only thing standing between us and a league title. Winning Sunday would be a huge step towards the title. Imagine bumming them 3-0 and moving 9 pts clear. I really think it would break their resolve.

Sterling has said previously beating us last Jan gave them the belief they could catch us.

Well of course it fucking did! If we had won we would have gone 10 points clear of them. As it was after the game we were only 4 points clear with half the season left to play.

I think we should go all out to beat them. We played conservatively against them last season and were saved at the death by a dreadful peno by Mahrez. They hate being attacked, they have a ropey defence, and we need to go at it hard.

I agree. Go all out and while it might by high scoring at either end their defence is worse.

That's defo what we need to do.

Should we do so & draw though, we'll still have a decent 6 point lead having played them once & played a fair few tricky fixtures as well, so it'd be a fairly good result, esp compared to the prospect of losing & seeing that lead cut to 3 & our momentum lost as their confidence soarsm.. So whilst I don't think we should try to be cagey, should we end up sharing the points I won't be massively disappointed by it (unless of course, we somehow batter them but fail to take our chances or something).

I am over for the game with my son. Not secured my ticks yet. Might have one at the Kop though So not sure what we do if only one. Maybe just let him go and watch it at TIA or something. Anyone else going?

That’s awesome, hopefully you get two but I’d imagine they are the most sought after ticket of the season.

good that he understands the food chain!

Them arriving in an unmarked bus would be a massive mental victory for us. Imagine going to a game and being too scared to show your colours because of a Koppaberg bottle.
I'm picturing them being wheeled into the ground in big wheeled laundry bins from a laundry wagon.

It's quite amusing to my small brain.

Such true words have never been spoken by you.

Surprised the city fans haven't lobbied for their owners to build a replica of the Helicarrier as used by SHIELD in the Marvel movies. You can't hurl a bottle of Koppaberg at a bus if you can't see it.

Page 2016 and counting, and Guardiola is supposed to be ''obsessed' with us. Haw haw, the jokes on, er, someone, y'all.

I see Guardiola took off keeper Edison at half time in their match with Atalanta. Hope the poor chap isn't injured.
