United are playing turgid football. It's quite strange really. They have a terrific collection of talent up front, and some really talented midfielders as well.

But there's no identifiable style or structure.

They’ve been poor, but they barely had any pre-season. A few of the big teams will take some time to build back sharpness.

Lolz - penalty that should never have been, a tenuous retake and then an apology by Sky because Evra suggested Zaha was shagging Ms Moyes

LOVING IT

Sky interviewing Moyes now. Please, please, please get Evra to say "Hi".

🙂

Yeah, I'm just saying that nothing was stopping Maguire from taking a step forward and trying to close down Zaha.

He should have aggressively lunged at Zaha, get physical and literally beat his opponent. Instead, he looked like he was on holiday.

The quicker Hodgson can his team to 40 points, the sooner him and his team can go on holiday again..

I disagree, I think it was a clear pen.

Yep, can see the big sides including ourselves losing a few games over season. The fact bo crowds gives now real home advantage too

I can see teams who want to kill a game against us being able to do so more effectively.

We saw both Arsenal & Everton play very formulaic defensive football & the fact they had no crowd to encourage or push them forward meant we got nowhere near as many chances as normal.

I suspect we may see new formations/shape or change of roles to try to combat that now we have a few options.

The Everton game was bad but we battered Arsenal and gave them two gifts.

Unfortunately this is exactly the sort of result that will prompt Woodward to open his wallet and buy Sancho. Utds problems are pretty much all related to Solskjaer, hes just not a good manager. Why they have persisted with him I dont know, maybe hes just the fall guy for a club in decline

Their decline is eerily similar to ours in some ways.

After decades of dominance, they lose the title with the last kick of the season.
Win the league the following year.
Come second in a weird year and win a domestic trophy.
Hopefully they go 30 years before they get back on top.
Hopefully Ole stays until Poch gets a job.
