Pirlo had a very encouraging start at Juve as they outplayed Sampdoria 3:0. He surprised everyone with an unorthodox team selection, giving debuts to 3 young players, playing a young American prospect Weston McKennie in a double-pivot with Rabiot and Aaron Ramsey at #10 (who had his best game in 2 years), while the newly signed Serie A young player of the year Dejan Kulusevski (if you guessed by his name that he's Swedish, good for you!) partnered Ronaldo in attack.
I watched the highlights and it was just unbelievable how quickly the ball moved when Juve were in possession – it looked like a Football manager "game of circles" when you play it at double speed. Maybe I underestimated Pirlo as a coach – this performance showed signs of a clear vision and a unique style.
