As this thread is now about Kjaer and Glock should the title not be changed to "Kjaer in the community" which covers both topics?
hahaahaha. How did I miss this?

Class.

If we are still in the market for a defender come Summer I reckon he's going to be our man.

Palermo's director has today confirmed they won't be selling him in the January-window hence he can leave for as 'little' as £9M come Summer, due to a clause in his contract. Every top club seems interested at this point but I reckon we could indeed be leading the pack because of the players outspoken desire to become a Liverpool-player one day.

Would be an awesome buy.

Big, strong lad with the right mentality. He's the winner-type through and through yet he's still got both his feets firmly planted on the ground (except when he's winning headers in the air obviously).
And if he's shit, I can start calling him "Kjaer Crash"
Haha... brilliant.

Serie A side Palermo have confirmed that their highly-rated Danish defender Simon Kjaer has been the subject of four offers during the January transfer window, two of which have been lodged by English clubs. Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea have all been touted as possible destinations for the 21-year-old in recent months

A self-confessed childhood Liverpool fan, Kjaer has seen his star rise across Europe having marshalled Denmark through a tricky qualification group to the World Cup.

Having also impressed with his performances in Serie A it appears that the former FC Midtjylland starlet could well be plying his trade in the Premier League in the near future with new City boss Roberto Mancini an apparent fan.

"We have received four offers for Kjaer, two from Germany and two from England," Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini told Sky Italia .

"We hope to keep him."

Kjaer is thought to hold a value in excess of £10 million; a figure which may hinder any potential move to either Manchester United or Liverpool given their current financial situations, but one that is unlikely to trouble the bank balance of the billionaire owners at Chelsea or Manchester City.

Why?

He's a boyhood red. His father, who's also his agent, is the reason why he's always cheered for Liverpool mind.

Even though Citeh amongst others has been rumoured to have had bids in the region of £17M accepted by Palermo he's still playing in the Serie A.

Come Summer he can move for as 'little' as £9M due to a contract clause.

I'm sure we are in the market for a CB come Summer - someone who's capable of winning headers and physical battles.

We have already once been interested in securing his services a few years back, before he eventually went to Palermo.

He's already partnering Agger on the Danish natinal-team and I'm sure they'd be delighted to play alongside eachother in Liverpool.

I know I'd be.

*big smile*

87%.

As much as I'd like this to be true, it sounds very highly unlikely with the number of CB's we have.

Maybe one will leave?

I'd swear Brendan would prefer we sign shite players so he can think of funny, witty nicknames for them. He's picking out nicknames for potential signings now, just in case.

The Kjaer-chrash one has made him one of his firm favourites for the Summer.

And rightly so.

It's always difficult to say. But come next Season I think so, yeah.

He plays week in week out in the Serie A even managed to reach the Team of the Year in his first Season there. As a 19-year-old mind.

Played 45 games so far for Palmero and has scored 5 goals already despite his tender age. And he has also proved himself alongside Agger for Denmark, qualifying for the WC.

He's extremely strong and well-balanced and wins a lot of headers. Maybe not Kyrgiakos style yet put he has potential to be just as commanding. Very good on the ground as well and rather pacy too.

He's got great potential.

You just used one there.

- Premier League for me is the best league in the world, and then there is Real Madrid and Barcelona in Spain. Perhaps it'll be more difficult for me in Spain where you are often left alone with your direct opponent, often small and fast players. England and the more physical approach is probably better suited to my style of play.

Kjaer has been quoted in todays newspaper wishing to get his situation sorted before the World Cup. He is not ruling out a move but he'll only move if the right club comes in - as in one of the biggest ones.

His dreammove according to one paper today, is to be united with Daniel Agger at Liverpool.

....As if we didn't know that already.

*pads right knee*
