Thought Ireland had a 20 min spell in the 2nd half, where they went away from their game and tried to force it a little too much (thought Jonny Sexton was the main culprit).
BOD nailed it pre-match.......The breakdown battle was crucial and the All Blacks just shaded it.

Sad to say Sexton in his final game made too many poor decisions and poor execution at crucial junctions.
I thought Ireland would win as well, but they were never certs - nobody ever is against the Blacks. They haven't been at their best recently, but their highest level is stratospherically high - they once went over two YEARS without dropping a pass in training.
Are they now favorites?

What a load of shite
You must have got caught up in the emotion.
So many poor decisions, so many mistakes.
New Zealand played as good as they can and it was just enough when we played well below what we are capable of.
If we were anywhere near our best we’d have won. In the cold light of day, we underperformed when it mattered most on the biggest stage yet again.
Even if Sexton had kicked a routine penalty for him, we could have won it with a drop goal at the end. Pressure got to him like a few others uncharacteristically.
Credit to NZ they flew out of the blocks and even when we clawed our way back into it against 14 men, we couldn’t hit the heights we have shown in this tournament or over the last two years.
This team deserves more of a legacy but we 100% bottled it.
The Irish fail again. The hype and expectation brings pressure. NZ coped better as, of course, they live with expectation constantly.
