I don't know what to think about his time at Chelsea, I mean, he failed to get on with a few players, but then who wouldn't with them lot? He dropped points all over the place and barely ever looked like knowing what his best side was. That said, he tried to go heavy handed and called the team in on their day off after they got beat by Everton, to which the players decided to question his tactics infront of Abramovic - he lost the dressing room pretty quickly.
Portugal is one thing, the Premiership is something else, he shit it when they played Stoke in his first game and he seemed genuinely surprised by how good they were and how strong they were at the back. Although his record with Porto was exceptional, his record with Chelsea was inconsistent, as was his time at his first club.
His reputation is built on being assistant to the Special One (we all know how well assistants generally transform into managers) and on one year of exceptional form, in another country. That's it. He's a fucking massive gamble and he's already shown that he struggled to make the transition. He didn't get long enough but he didn't take to it like a duck to water either, and that's got to be a concern when we're looking at progressing from where we were. We don't need to be bringing in another manager who may need a fair amount of indulgence while he adapts to the league.
