Title Race

with that perspective, we will be in the race for a long time. If I am being honest, I never thought at the start of the season or even 1.5 months ago that we will have two points lead over the 2nd team in the league (fully aware that City has two games in hand).

We just need more luck with injuries till the end of the season. City game is tricky but they are obviously beatable this season compared to many other seasons under Pep.
Yes, but I did leave out that we have tricky away games against Man U and Everton too. But those are games we should win

Looking at the way Arsenal celebrating at the end of the match. The joke’s on them. They’re in a worse position than we are

At this stage we now have 15 league games only from Klopp. No one cares if he gets a league cup, or a Europa league.

I really hope he is ruthless and focuses our best XI for the league and retrofits everything else.
Yes we do. Of course we want, more than anything, the PL but we want Klopp to leave with trophies. If it's the PL then fantastic but failing that the EL, LC and maybe the FAC would also be a wonderful send off.

Our away record vs. the traditional Big 6 has never been good. 1 positive is, of such fixtures, there's only Man Utd (a) left this season.

And what? Install him in a midfield role where he won't have to defend?

People always say this, it's a bit different defending in midfield, to defending at right back. In midfield you can press and defend on the front foot, you can't do that when playing right back, especially when standing on the halfway line while everything bypasses you. He would put in more of a shift than the likes of Gravenberch would and he'd give the ball away a lot less than Elliott or Thiago would.

Our away record is general sucks camel dick.

Luton, Brighton.

Last season it was virtually every team in the bottom half.....Forest, Brentford, Wolves, Bournemouth, Palace, Fulham, Everton, fucking Soton. Not 1 fucking win between them.

Season before our only losses game at Leicester and West Ham. League done.

He's going to continue at right back, so there's no point in worrying about it. We just need to pray szob is fit, or someone who can press and tackle is at rcm

City getting all their players fit and starting that winning train has me worried though. When we see them infront of us we are playing catch up against a team that never loses this time of year.

As Brizzle says, if we are in a position were we can beat them at Anfield and go top. Well then we got a real chance.

I dont think Arsenal will win. It will be us or City.

Our true theoretical advantage will come by being able to rotate heavily for midweek EL games. Klopp should be leaving his key players at home for all away games, minimising their disruption.

And lets hope City and Arsenal go far in the Champions league and then crash and burn in the semis.

We must win every league game til then and then beat them. I think that’s highly unlikely but not impossible.

(again) ... except in 21/22 when they were 14 points clear of us at New Year and we closed the gap to 1 point on the final day. "Always" and "Never" are overused adverbs when describing Man City's second half of the season. "Often" and "Seldom" maybe ...

Yeah the rhetoric is old, over-used and this is a different City team. It's like saying Mercedes always win the F1 World Title because they've been there and done it before, until they didn't.

Where we need to give Jones some games to rest, if we could get the Grav back who started the home games against Everton, Forest, Toulouse, USG that brief spell where he showed the quality, then I’d like to see him played back in that position.

We talk about LCM and RCM a lot, I personally believe #8s should be able to perform equally as well on both sides but it is strange how the only midfielder that’s played on both sides this season is Grav. You won’t see Jones playing on the right side or Szobo/Harvey on the left side (maybe 1 game where he played LW) which leads me to think Klopp is still very much at the experimental stage with him.

It's why I said in general, taking no note of any other team a -7 point swing advantage with a game more for this season is still a pretty stark difference.
