It is possible but let's be real.

Newcastle will be away at City, can't see them doing it. Just not resolute/ clinical enough.

Wolves are on a beach so far away they're probably waiting for the jedi to return.

West Ham will be absolutely smashed by the time they play City, no motivation to win either.

That leaves Villa...you just know Tyrone Mings is going to slip....

Both will likely be fighting for the last european spot ... hopefully that's some motivation

A Warning

Chelsea's situation in 2006/7 was actually extremely similar to Klopp's task now. With four league games to go, the Blues were three points behind Premier League leaders Manchester United, not one. But, like Liverpool now, they were already safely into the FA Cup final, had won the LC and had just won the first leg of their Champions League semi-final too.

They won only the FAC & LC that season.

Does anyone expect city to win every game ever? I don’t. That’s why I’m not giving up hope.

And we’re gonna win every game between now and the rest of the season. Worst case scenario is we have another European cup, FA cup and league cup. Not a bad season at all.

Yep that's how I see it.

Arse and Spurs are now well clear of United. Wolves have the toughest job but they will still be fighting for it when they play City. Assuming West Ham go out of the EL to Frankfurt and win at Norwich then they will still be battling United for the EL spot with United having 3 tough matches to claim it.

6th (EL) : United 55 (35) - Brentford (H), Brighton (A) & Palace (A)
7th (Eur Conf) : West Ham 52 (35) - Norwich (A), City (H) & Brighton (A)
8th (no Euro place) : Wolves 49 (34) - Chelsea (A), City (H), Norwich (A) & Liverpool (A)

Yes I do expect them to win their 4 remaining PL matches. However there's still hope of an upset with those away games at Wolves & West Ham and even Newcastle with nothing to lose claiming a shock at the Etihad (esp. if City have a tough game at Real that results in extra time, penalties then a mentally devastating defeat).

They've lost at home to Spurs (2-3), Lost at home to Palace (0-2) and drew at home to Southampton (0-0). The last two teams are nearer to the current Newcastle in style than most.

The problem is, unless one of the teams playing City are holding some kind of a weird grudge against them, they basically have nothing to play for.
Well maybe Gerrard will try to help out, but it ain't happening.

I guess you missed the post 2 places above yours.

Wolves should hold a grudge. They were robbed earlier this season.

This is going to be a fucking depressing season at the end when we look back on it. City winning the league and CL double (beating us in the final), and Chelsea beating us in the FA cup final. To make it worse, we won't even have the consolation of seeing Everton go down.

Still time to build up some hate for Leeds so that we'll feel better when Everton beat them to stay up.

The sooner weve all acclimated to the fact that city don't lose a match from here on in the season and beat us In the champions League final , the less it will hurt

It’ll be even worse when we get beat 3-0 by Villarreal and Klopp changes his mind about that contract extension!!!

It's posts like this that are ensuring City keep on winning and will enable Chelsea. When will we ever learn. Sigh.

I’d hate to remember the start of the season when everyone predicted city winning 38 games.

[article]Pep Guardiola's City are known for their high-energy, free-flowing football but they have often relied on one of the most basic elements of the game in recent weeks - set-pieces.

City's 18 goals from dead balls — excluding penalties — is the most of any top-flight team this season and the club's highest since 2013-14. They have conceded from set-pieces just once this season — again, better than all the rest.

Nicolas Jover, a specialist set-piece coach, left City for Mikel Arteta's Arsenal last summer and has been hailed as a genius. But his replacement, Carlos Vicens, has overseen an improvement in both boxes.

Rodri and Nathan Ake both scored from such situations in the win over Leeds on Saturday tea-time. The Spanish midfielder headed home a perfectly-flighted Phil Foden free-kick, before Ake turned home a corner in the second half.

Even Guardiola seems surprised at how proficient they have been from dead-balls this season. 'We are not a team to score a lot of goals from set-pieces but sometimes that can unblock these kind of games,' the City boss said.[/article]
