A bit crazy, isn’t it? Looks like he even fooled his own manager, who was already probably thinking who will replace him. Given that footballers are a highly superstitious bunch, it’s really unusual to fake an injury as part of a goal celebration… but actually he wasn’t the first:

Nairobi Sharks midfielder Sven Yidah did this after scoring a penalty against Everton, of all teams, in a pre-season game in 2019 (scored against Lossl, not Pickford, in case you’re wondering). Apparently that celebration is his trademark too - I saw other videos of him doing it.
Anyway - does anyone have a problem with what Xhaka did and if more players start copying it?
