Steven Taylor has been transfer listed by Newcastle
Any reason given?

Understanding is that #Inter still trying to pad out any bid for #Kuyt with player-exchanges. #LFC not entertaining the idea.

RT @bensmith_times Dirk Kuyt's agent: "The two clubs (#Inter & #lfc) continue to talk, but things are moving slowly,"

Both from Neil Jones.

Carroll probably wants to bang him out again

Newcastle have placed Steven Taylor on the transfer list after he failed to agree on a new deal.

The defender, currently sidelined with a shoulder injury, will be out of contract at the end of the season.

The Magpies had been keen to keep Taylor but his agent Paul Stretford recently admitted that negotiations over an extension were not progressing smoothly.

Newcastle have now decided to make Taylor available for transfer after he turned down their latest offer of a new deal.

The proposal was thought to be in the region of £40,000-a-week, while Taylor's representatives wanted something closer to £60,000.

A club spokesman said: "We can confirm that Steven Taylor is on the transfer list."

The 24-year-old has been with Newcastle since the start of his career and played a key role in helping the club earn promotion back to the Premier League.

Someone on another site claims Lucas got an attitude problem and we want rid.

I find that hard to believe, but would love it if it was true.
good for them. Lessons of last time seemingly learned.
60k for a decent centre back. Fuck off ALL footballers.

Great. We lose the best DM in the world and get the third best DM from real Madrid and the second shittest Diarra.
Tickety fucking boo.

Mamadou was excellent at Lyon and for 2 seasons for Real. Last 2 have been hampered with injury but he played something like 18 matches for them last season.
And is extremely good defensively. At 6"0 he's also very strong in the air, something we have been lacking in midfield.
He's a good player Oncy. Mamadou and Gerrard will be a very good midfield pairing. If we sign him that is. For free this is an excellent signing.

Lass has probably got more to his game offensively, but he seems to be a massive bellend. It must be his head, sureley.
Agreed, I think he would be a very good signing.

Although it would make me wonder why we wasted £5M on Poulsen when we've got no money.

France Foot claiming #NUFC target Ben Arfa was in talks on Tues with #LFC. Surely not - maybe Roy has lost the plot after all.

From the Guardian

I would actually love Ben Arfa here, mental or not.

Players offered to #LFC by #Inter so far, I'm told; Ivan Cordoba, Mancini, Sulley Muntari, Victor Obinna. No surprise #LFC not interested.

He's got an aptitude problem

Is Mancini shit and old now?

We really wanted him at three or four years ago.

Obinna is a decent striker actually. Mourinho said he was one of the brightest prospects at Inter when he took over. Doesn't score enough goals though.

I'm so excited, I wonder who's coming and who's going.

(I'm not reading posts by Oncy, Squiggles or Brendan, they keep ruining all the fun)

I am surprised Rafa is letting him leave.

Hahahaha

And he's bringing Sergio with him too, right?

Yes, gift-wrapped.

It isn't really that hard to believe. He was very happy here till Rafa and he fell out, he said himself he had very mixed feelings about moving on and he hasn't really hit the headlines at Real. Can't see it happening though.

That would be the best transfer window ever.

Incidentally, I think you've managed a bit of a whoosh here.

I've heard those whispers too, although it was me whispering to myself, in the dead of night.

Ha ha ha.

Did he fuck. He was injured most of the season.

Hence transfer listing him. He's nearly crocked as often as Agger.

Rumoured today to be going to West Ham on a free transfer.

We should go after Pazzini when/if we sell Mascherano. He is a quality player, and had an amazing game against Werder the other night
