£250m in transfer funds how would you strengthen?

I reckon Slot and Hughes will have £250m this summer including sales. Free Agents won't be free, they would have a signing on fee from £10-30m
Me personally I would spend £100m on LB and CB and possibly use Steph as RB cover. As only Nunez and Cheesy leaving, we are looking at upto £100m for replacements. Example, Ekitake will cost £80m and Davis about £20m signing on fee. That leaves £50m for MF

Right-back needs attention. Bradley isn't proven enough to step in, replace a world-class player and stay fit, so you're looking at around £40 to £50 million. Left-back will likely require a similar investment.

I also hope there's £70 to £80 million available for a striker, and that Konate and Diaz have their contracts sorted. That would show a clear and steady plan. Possibility Elliott out for Cherki or Acsensio interests me also and I'd trust Bajectic to come in for Endo if the right offers arrive.

Remember the budget is £250m including sales

Elliott has said he wants to stay. All indications at the moment Diaz and Jota will stay. Am I right in thinking your list doesn't include a CB?
£100m on two players at the back. £80m for a fwd
And the rest, £70m for a MF?

So close to getting a like until you mentioned Elliott

Outs: Nunez (50m), tsimi (10m), Trent (free), kelleher (35m) = 95m
Ins: kerkez (50m), de Cuyper (35m), sesko (80m? Release), Huijsen (50m), cherki (35m), Angelo stiller 40m .

Done. Easy. Bosh.

Like almost everyone I think we need a striker and a LB. I don't care who the LB is but I trust the club to pick the right one, whoever it is. Personally I think Sesko is the best striker option among a pretty uninspiring bunch. Mainly for his athleticism and youth.

After that I'd go for a general purpose AM who can compete with Szob and maybe help out on the wings - a Simons or Rogers type, even Eze. Those 3 are probably pushing £200m. I'm not sure what's going to happen at RB. Gomez would be absolutely ideal to back Bradley up but obv he can never stay fit.

I don't think we need a CB but we're obviously going to try to sign Huijsen cos everyone seems to think he's the next big thing.

Only if he and Slot decide it's for the best. Another year like this and it's a waste of time for all parties and potentially a missed opportunity to improve.

Kerkez 45
Huisen 50
Alvarez 110
Kudus 40
Aina or similar experienced RB, if Trent leaves

Baj and Endo and Jones cover the mid
Kudos you're not getting for £40m. His clause is £80m. Aina will cost £15m as a signing on fee.
Anyways, what you said was CB, LB and RB for £110m and two FWDS for £140m. Alvarez by-out clause is £125m. You would get no additions to MF am I right?

I'd spend another 50m of Hudjsen if Gomez goes or Konate doesn't sign up. Just depends what's going on there.

You're over budget. Use a calculator next time. 2XLB+CB = £135m, FWDs £80m, AM+CM=£75m total= £290m. Well over!

Then it is:

Kerkez 45
Alvarez 125
Kudus 60 or Huisen, dependent on outgoings.
Aina 10 mill

I would not mind a MF, but we cannot do everything in one window.

It's usually a lot less signings than people want, especially of those that will actually play games and contribute. I suspect a RB, maybe a LB, and a forward of some description, after that we might have a few for the future and a player or two that people will say should play more often, but in reality is not really very good.

The budget is £250m including sales. You can't increase the budget by suggesting we sell extra players. initially I had 7 players leaving but Elliott, Jota and Diaz all look to be staying. There isn't the room we thought there would be. £250m in any other window would be a huge!

250 isn't buying us much.
I'm giving 150 to @Bradley who is at top top investor.
We'll get a solid return on that investment to pump into the market season after.

I'd use remaining 100 so buy a back up right back cos Connor B is gonna play right back and a solid left back. Say 60m there.
The remaining 40 on a striker having sold Nunez and one of Jota/Diaz.

£10m on a new SD.
£10m on a new scouting network set up in south america.
& £230m to smash Linda every night on the back of John's yacht.

I was going to suggest this thread could be called “Let me tell you I’m obsessed with transfers without telling you I’m obsessed with transfers by starting another thread on transfers”.

Anyway - Buy a CF, LB & RB and if there’s anything left over a CB.

Sell as little as possible.
