Sell him to Stoke - Hughes will easily part with£25m for him.

Andy Carroll has been told to forget about the £100,000-a-week he wants out of West Ham - despite Sam Allardyce’s desperation to sign him.

The England striker representatives made the eye-watering six-figure demand - the requested salary would represent a £20,000-a-week pay-rise for Carroll - last week.

But Hammers are adamant they cannot afford that, despite their willingness to complete a £15.5million deal with Liverpool for the Geordie after his successful season on loan at Upton Park.

It comes as Allardyce confirmed that Carroll - still yet to confirm he wants to remain in London - is the club’s no.1 target.

Big Sam said of the striker, who joined from hometown club Newcastle for £35m in 2011: “At this moment in time, our first priority is signing Andy Carroll, if we can.

We have nearly finished our planning for pre-season and the players have all had their programmes given to them to take away to start training while they are relaxing at home or on their holidays.

“They are asked to do some active work while they are away so, when they come back on 1 July, they are ready to go and we won’t have too many tight muscles.

“We want them to be able to cope with the demands we put on them from the very beginning.

Then, it’s about the recruitment of the other players who we want as quickly as we possibly can. That will be the most difficult part of this summer.”

Fine him a weeks wages every time he has a beer.

We'll get our £35m back by January, then he can fuck off back to Newcastle for free.

I can't believe anyone can still back this player. He's got the physical abilities to be an excellent player, but he's a fucking idiot like most footballers. Go drink some more alcohol, and destroy some more property. Forget coaching him to be a better player, coach him to be a better, more responsible person.

I'm afraid it might be too late for this...

The King tried really hard to do that. I wonder if you'd ever have found him at a Westlife concert otherwise.

Carroll to West Ham will be done and dusted in the next 7 days as per various ITK on twitter (Sorry Ross - you've scared Hansern away, so I'm just trying to fill in)

i don't know what's worse , that story or him going on holidays with ashley cunt cole.

West Ham hope to complete the permanent signing of striker Andy Carroll from Liverpool as early as next week.
The clubs are close to agreeing a fee — believed to be £15.5 million — while negotiations with the player (above) and his agent, Mark Curtis, are at an advanced stage. Carroll was expected back from holiday today and further talks will take place over the weekend.

West Ham co-chairman David Gold said this week that the chances of Carroll signing had increased from, “50-50 to 75-25 per cent” and there have been reports that the big striker has been offered a four-year deal worth £78,000 per week.

The Upton Park club, however, still have contingency plans in place should talks break down with Vitesse Arnhem’s 24-year-old striker Wilfried Bony top of their list.

Chelsea’s Demba Ba has also been linked with a loan move back to Upton Park, while Wilfried Zaha, who will move from Crystal Palace to Manchester United this summer, could be a loan target.

AC Milan midfielder Massimo Ambrosini, 36, confirmed he has been in talks with West Ham, although Fiorentina are also said to be interested in the former Italy international.
